Hello I needed some help finding the problem with my truck it’s a 2000 Toyota Tundra access cab. The doors will unlock themselves wether the key is in the ignition or not and it’s not the quick unlock sometimes it’s unlock 5 seconds later other it’s 2 minutes. Also while driving highway speeds above 55 the temperature raises but driving in the city (50 and lower it’s fine.

Does your truck have the factory alarm system installed. Easy way to check is on the left side next to the steering column is there a black rectangle that says security and has a light on it? Or do you have an aftermarket alarm installed or anything?

It does have a red light yes but I never got a fob for it when I bought it I’ve had it just over a year and it just started doing this

Does it usually lock/unlock when you start/turn off the truck? I think the easiest thing to try first is a reset by unhooking the battery for a little while then hooking it back up.

Welcome to the forum! Pics are semi-mandatory btw. The unlock door feature can happen even without the factory alarm installed. Mine will auto unlock if you try to lock the drivers door from the inside while the door is open. I guess to keep you from locking your keys in the truck? Most Toyotas I've had have this feature. Maybe that feature is malfunctioning. Sounds like you have a second issue with overheating as well? more info would help with that.
