I have a new 21 DC 4x4 with non-JBL audio. When I am listening to bluetooth from my phone or XM radio, I can see the album art when the truck is in park. As soon as I put it into drive, the album art is replaced with a generic bluetooth symbol or the XM radio symbol. I can understand not being able to see video files when driving, but the album art for music? What the heck is the difference between the generic bluetooth symbol or a thumbnail photo of the album? Android Auto does display the art when driving, but for short trips I don't always connect my phone.

I have a very large music collection (over 400G) and I have spent a lot of time collecting and matching album art to the music. I like seeing the art on my screen and this really annoys me. I have searched the forum and seen the mod for inputting navigation instructions while driving, but I don't have built-in nav on my head unit. Does anyone know of a fix for this or am I doomed to buying a new head unit?

Check the build link in my signature.
I’m pretty sure you’re stuck with it. Can’t even load a startup or background image to the 20/21 head units.
I don’t worry about it much - rarely looking at album covers while I’m driving anyway. :notsure:
