    Hello,

Im the lucky new owner to a 2005 Toyota Tundra Double Cab. Not sure how many units exist under 100k miles anymore but it’s drives like a dream. Can’t wait to see where the open road takes us!

The truck was purchased from Glendora Toyota in Southern California brand new and has had its service done at the dealership for its entire life. I had the opportunity to snag it up from a local mom and pop dealership just last week. I plan on continuing the superb maintenance so this thing will last a lifetime.

Feel free to shoot me pros and cons that I should watch for.

    Thank you, J

Welcome. Let's start with: where do you and this lovely Tundra live? And is that the part of the country where this Tundra has lived its 71,000 miles of life?

I don’t mind the asking. I grabbed it for 18k. I figured with the life I will get out of it it’s a lot better then spending 50k - 60k for a new truck. Hell even used are going for that price.

Thank you. I will have the dealership look into these items on the first service and let me know where they stand.

Welcome. Can't be brand new if it went for 18K and you're the first owner I assume.

I never knew a dealership that would hold onto a vehicle that long before selling.

    What don't I understand here?

This is a new to me purchase. I bought it from a mom and pop dealer a few days ago.

    I’m the 3rd owner.

Put her in shotgun and floor it. These are veritable racetrucks compared to the V6's I drove my whole life.

I had NO IDEA double cabs ever had a bench seat. I’m going to have to switch that over…however I’d like the seat to have leather to match the rear seats In my truck. That’d be sick.

I’m sure a good upholstery shop could do one up in all leather! That would be slick

    Most don't, you're not alone . . . i was at the beach on thursday . . . dude pulls up with a 1st gen access cab & compliments me on my DC . . . I say "likewise . . how many miles on yours"? he replies, "i just turned 420 thousand" . . . . that's at least 2 life-spans of many domestic trucks . . . not to mention the $avings.
