Hi guys, yesterday on the drive home we had alot of rain , I went through a deep area I would say 6 to. 8 inches deep I have driven through this same area before many times. Though yesterday when going through my traction control came on slowing truck down alot. More then I'm used to , this a.m. leaving for work normal driving traction control kicked on for nothing multiple times. Slowing the truck down alot each time. Anyone know why this is happening? Never happened before and I go through the same deep area alot with all the rain we have had up here. There's always so much run off , off of the mountains around I have no choice but to go through and its maybe 8 inches deep at the most , thank you in advance for your time

Just throwing this out there but I would look at wheel speed sensors and or wiring connections to the wheel speed sensors. Each wheel and tire has a wheel speed sensor, this data is sent to the Skid Control ECU and is used to run the speedometer, ABS, Traction Control ect.

If one of your wheel speed sensors is misreporting data it would make the computer do weird things. It could think 3 of the wheel/tires are normal while the 4th is rotating faster or slower than the other 3 (spinning or slipping ect). I believe it would then send a signal to the ECU to cut engine power(throttle input) when this happens.

The sensors/wiring connections might just be dirty or could have gotten wet and broken the internal electronics.
