    100% agreed

May be Tundra envy but I just got my front window broken when a 2nd gen decided to pass me on the shoulder at about 80 mph the other day. I watched a shower of rocks from the shoulder land on my window when he cut me off.

He then proceeded to lean out the window and wave me on like he wanted to race up a curved overpass. Im just fixated on what was in his backseat the whole time, a child. He then proceeded to loose interest and take off on to the freeway doing a 4 lane merge and continue weaving in and out of traffic. Completely out of nowhere, I was pretty much shocked and confused the whole time.

Now Im trying to get OE glass, cant find any due to the factory shutdowns and such.

If you'd seen the fools at Just Tires in Glendale, CA. you'd know why I'd eat the cost of the sensor and never go back. Sometimes it's better to walk away.

Things happen. My wife was driving through an apartment security gate in her new Tahoe and the gate decided to close while she was only half way through. Screwed up the right side pretty noticeably.

Me too! In my three past commuter vehicles I have literally needed to replace the windshield within 60 days…. I went over a year on my Tundra which is a miracle.

I hate it for you. Second week in mine I watched a rock take a chip out of the windshield. It hasn't spread yet but summer is here in the Carolinas so it shouldn't be long now before the windows heat up real nice and push that crack across the entire thing.

Its kind of like every time I wash my truck the birds decide to poop on it immediately. Once I was still putting the hose away when it happened.

Except this is a much more expensive and frustrating version.

    Too many, but not enough....
I thought after reading the post title that you were going to have a string of warranty issues with Toyota or something. Does seem like bad luck, but i rather have all those things that happened to you instead of going back and forth to the dealership for warranty issues.

My brand new 21 has a pinhead size paint chip already on the panel directly under the headlight and its pissing me off pretty good right now.....

Windshields don’t stand a chance in the Nashville area. We have three extremely busy interstates full of potholes that twist around the city and tons of dump trucks and 18-wheelers that kick up small rocks and debris. I’ve replaced two windshields in the last year. Brutal.

So the long wait on a new windshield is over, ended up going the OEM route, truck is so new the insurance company approved it over the OEE one. So far so good, TSS and the camera on the glass seem to be all good.

Ended up cleaning up the nasty rock chip above the windshield, it showed some signs of rusting so using a gun cleaning metal pick and some fine grit sandpaper cleaned out the chip and filled with Dr Colorchip. The paint match was pretty spot on and was super easy to do. It's not perfect due to the chip being on the edge it's hard to get it levelm Probably going to add another layer when I get the time but for now it's protected and hopefully will not rust anymore.

Sounds like some bad luck, but at least it’s a Toyota so it’s not breaking down on you.
