Shark Fin Antenna is loose

Last couple times washing my Tundra, The shark fin antenna seems more loose than I'd like. Its not super wobbly but it moves a little and when I move it or press down water seeps out from it. Haven't noticed a wet headliner yet, but I'm not liking this. Brand new truck. Half tempted to run a bead of sealant around but its a brand new truck.

Anyone else have this problem?

 

Take it back to the dealership. You don't want to mess with any water damage.

 

Thats the plan, I'm also curious if there is another layer/gasket protection within the antenna that protects from water. For example where the wiring goes through the roof?

 

Negative...you would need to put in your own grommet...tho the RTV-esque sealant is usually good enough

 

If anyone has some time today, give your shark a little wiggle and see how it feels.

Took the truck in to have the dealer inspect the antenna, they said all is normal and that there is a grommet inside where the wire goes through the roof. I checked some other antennas on the lot and they move a little but not as much as mine. I was told the rubber gasket around the base is just a buffer between the roof and antenna housing. I'm not totally convinced so some silicon may be applied for my peace of mind.
