I’ve read page after page of wheel & tire threads but can’t recall anyone talk about utilizing the base mode steel wheels.

I’m picking up my 21 CM here in a few weeks. I’ve decided to do a standard 3/1 readylift.

I know that the basic stock steel wheels are a standard 60 offset. Can I mount 285/75r18 on the stock steels
    without major modifications?

I’d like to have the benefits of larger tires but don’t really need the added rim “flare”.

    Alot of them
I will tell you that the Readylift will ride rougher than stock. Not too many run bigger tires on stock steel wheels.

I haven’t seen any which is why I asked for info. I hate to make a costly mistake if it’s a bad idea. I personally like the look of steel wheels but would like a larger and meatier tire. I’m not trying to kill the ride quality either though. I’d like the raised look but not at the cost of function.
