    Ha! This is the exact project I got the TIG for; stainless steel handrails and cabling for our deck. Our project was $9,000 if I ordered the bolt-up kit. Got the welder and materials for less than that.
    Project changed when she said all the silver stainless metal in the sun would blinding and could I just paint it. :confused:
    Well, thank G-O-D I hadn’t bought the materials yet and now I just gotta find a decent MIG out there and mild steel which, while expensive right now, is plentiful out this way and significant fewer samoleons than stainless!

    Love the tire rack and fold-away welding table! I got a nice, heavy gauge 32” x 10 foot stainless countertop from a guy on Craigslist for $100 who liquidates bankrupt restaurants thinking I’d be doing more transmission and (semi-precision) mechanical work. Then I went to my first TIG welding class and here I am trying to find a way to get rid of it and get a fixture table instead. #oldManProllems
    I did a cool cantilever shelf deal on the wall to hold my working stock of steel. Those SRL (20 foot) sticks of steel can be challenging to store! Let me know if you’d like to see it.

    I also learned the hard way when you move into a new place and she’s making up those honey-do lists, just S-T-O-P and get your shop in good working order. Every home project you do instead of getting your shop ready puts you exponentially further behind with stress and lost tools & materials. A silent killer of sorts.

    You gots the COVIDs or something? Don't worry, I had them too and found out that multiple Miller Lites will kill the COVIDs in less than 2 days.
