Rear Sensors Bad?

    I nearly hit two people while backing out of a parking space in a lot today. My beef is the sensors never detect people. only vehicles. I had a 17 RAV4 that detected absolutely everything back there. My question is, are mine defective? Any of yours detect people?

    Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, HD RAS, 285/75-18 Nokian Outpost AT, LoPro bed cover, TRD rear sway bar, DD 10 inch exhaust, and various other goodies
    Well they are rear cross traffic sensors. Meant for vehicles and traffic so performance detecting something small like a person or bicycle is easily missed.

    But you do have eyes and a back up camera to help with that.
