It's easier to list the ones we got: Taco Bell, McDs, Burger King, Jack in the box, Arby's, and Dairy Queen. Sonic was going to come in, but I guess that feel through.

If you ever visit Paris, stop into a McDonald's. I went in there just to order a Royale with Cheese and I was angry to see how much better their McDonald's are than the ones in California (where McDonald's started).

Here if you order a coffee it says "McCafe" on the cup. In Paris there is a side bar with baked goods, really nice coffee, ice cream, and even macaroons. It is called McCafe. They also had the touch screen ordering thing back in 2014, we just got those 2 years ago here.

Doesn't seem like any Canadians like Horton's. I enjoyed the bagel breakfast sandwiches and the black coffee. The hashbrowns were nice too, not oily at all. Donuts were too sweet for me. I ordered 2 breakfast combos, 3 donuts, a frozen cap. Then I turned to my wife and asked what she wants. The cashier went  and I told her I'm American. She had a good laugh.

Yea, nostalgia to when my metabolism was like a race horse. That 4x4 would be digested by the time I’d finish. The fries are just weird to me. Flavor is okay. Texture reminds me of a soggy thick cut. But they’re toothpick thin so…I don’t get it.

You Cali guys are spoiled. It’s hard enough trying to get your hands on sourdough rolls in the supermarket here in the Northeast, never mind a fast food place.

There's a blast from the past. I loved those Sourdough burgers when I was stationed in WA in the 90s. Moved back to east coast & haven't seen a Jack in the Box since.

Yep, well at least you have sheetz to tide you over. I wasn't aware their tacos are similar. Never had them, but I am intrigued now.

Man, they had Jack in lubbock(about 1 1/2 hours south) up until a few years ago. I loved getting service calls down there cause I got some Jack. They just up and disappeared one day. All 3 of em. So now when we go to the lake we always stop at the Jack in OKC by the outlet malls. Lots of crackheads around though...

Jack might be a hard trade rethinking it. The curly fries alone are the bargaining chip.

    I'll trade Wendy's and Sonic!

There was one McD's burger I liked. It was only available in Anchorage. The "McKinley Mac". You had to ask for it. 2 quarter pounder patties. Hate McD's but the McMac was ok. The McD's in Hiroshima was quite a bit different to say the least.

DQ and A&W are both nothing remotely like they used to be. Puny overcooked crapola burgers now. Fosters Freeze might still be good. Jack sucks compared what it used to be along with Wendy's. BK is stille edible. The new In- an-Out here still has crazy lines of cars. Anchorage has several great burger joints. Whataburger would be instantly in last place if one should ever open up there. Just sayin....:crapstorm: truth hurts

I do like hitting the only DQ I know of from time to time. Not great but maybe a level or two up from Wendy's. Haven't had A&W since '96 when I spent a Summer in Visalia. It was pretty average.

I appreciate the flavor of BK burgers. Tastes like it was cooked on charcoal.

I was eating DQ, McD's, A&W, Fosters Freeze back in the early 60's in Kali. Taco Bell too. Taco Bell was actually good back then. Also Bob's Big Boy was the bomb back then.. damn....I'm......old.....I'd go to Jack as a kid in South Gate, Kali in the 60's. There was an actual Jack in the Box above each restaurant.

FYI....the largest A&W drive in anywhere used to be in Okinawa......went there the first time in 1980. 41 years ago. Sonic ripped off that concept.

My brother had mini-season tickets to the Padres games at Jack Murphy Stadium ~ circa 1980s.
The Padres always had an awful team but I loved baseball and the seats were the best in the house.
These days it's hard for me to attend the games because those seats are typically unavailable at Petco Park or they're crazy expensive or both.

Oh yes, the good ol' days ! :)
