He can find solace in knowing that the V6 will return with two whistles and vanquish the V8 in 2022.

Does anyone else have problems with the torque pro app clearing your assigned gauges/page? This is the second time it’s happened to me, trying to figure out if it’s the app or possibly the old phone that lives in my truck for this purpose.

Drop one of them fuckers in this bitch. I bet it'd fit easier than one of these.

I refuse to respect a v6 regardless of its turbos.
I’ll never not ask, “when are you gonna get the rest of the engine?”

I was in the same camp until I rode in a 2018 F150 with a 3.5ecoboost hauling an enclosed trailer containing a race car, tools, spares, etc. I can't adequately express how impressive it was. And it was totally stock.

Don’t sleep on that 1GR-FE. Ive got a neighbor with a boosted XRunner. He finally gave me a ride the other day and I almost had the do the waistband tuck.

It’s unbelievable how few options we have for forced induction seeing as how the 2UZ was in so many vehicles.

Yea, the ecobeast if formidable, but it makes terrible noise, and lots of it when youre asking it to do v8 things. And the v8 does it on pump swill, and the buzzin half dozen needs high test.

there are exceptions to every rule. Mine is the gmc 305/351/478. Those can do work under 2krpm

I have no concerns with these crazy motors doing work. I just have concerns about how long they can do it. I also have heat concerns.

Heat concerns and turbos go hand in hand.
If it were mine, I'd have a hard time not upgrading the IC and keep an eye on all the temps to make sure the manufacturer's version of acceptable and mine align.

    No auto payments.

Nope. This truck has been the first and only vehicle that I didn't buy cash, I paid it off in 3 years.

Same here. I paid cash for my 'Rolla and bike, but financed the truck and paid it off before building it out.

No debts aside from a mortgage (investment at this point). I've seen too many friends/family live miserably outside of their means to know better.

I'd say let's start a poll and shame the Turd gens, but we can't view who chose what option.

    1st gen w/payment
    1st gen w/o payment
    Etc.

People cant lie on a poll, and you can fool em into coming out of the wood work.

Your debit card should offer all the same protections a credit will. Then you don't have to pay anything off. I am good at regurgitating info. @Darkness knows what I mean.

But it can be a bitch to wake up and have your account drained from someone getting your card number. Been there, done that.

Now everything gets put on a credit card. I get airline miles, the wife gets hotel points. Both get paid off at the end of the month. That gets stolen no big deal and we'll let AMEX worry about it.

Same. One our couple friends clears $300K a year between the two of them and they are buried in debt. If my wife and I pulled in that much money for as many years as they have, I would have been able to stop working by 40. Our only debt is our house.

They don't reimburse you for that sort of thing? I thought even debit cards were covered.

Even if they do, that takes time and it takes actual money from your account until it is resolved. A disputed fraud charge on CC doesn't actually take dollars from your pocket.

I have had both a debit and credit card brute forced by hackers. While both situations were rectified, the debit card was a lot more anxiety inducing and took longer to fix by the bank.

    Yup^

For a few years I kept a side debit card with a limited amount of money in it for online purchases. That was because I didn't want to open any credit cards. Eventually I caved and opened a credit card, now I use that for any sketchy payments and pay it off immediately.

I also use it when traveling for some expenses like rental cars or hotels. Much more protected than a bank card, not to mention my bank card hits suspicious activity reports and freezes when I travel and use it without telling them first. The most annoyed I've ever been was when I banked with BofA, worked at BofA, went traveling to Texas for business (for BofA) and bought beer using my ATM. They froze my account the same day and I was in Texas with literally no way to pull cash.

We can keep the poll light and just say "do you have car payments". Doesn't have to say what gen truck you have.

I'll play. I have a truck payment. I also stay within my means (until recently) so I don't care. Different strokes for different folks.

Within means is the thing. Being able to afford a payment is great if one can swing it.
