I just got my first truck and it is a 2006 Toyota Tundra. I wanted to do an 8.5 lift kit on it but I can’t find it anywhere. Please tell me this is possible. Can I lift it that much and where can I get it?

You picked the wrong truck for that. Unless you're interested in doing a solid axle swap up front.

I think Tuff Country offers 5" and that's about the most I've seen.

RCD makes a 6" lift ($2600 plus install), you could add a 3" body lift ($400 plus install) to that and voila, 9" of lift. If you're into that sort of thing. Truck will behave strangely and not be very nice to drive. But it'll be up there. You could then run some gigantic tires ($2000-$4000) that will necessitate a regear ($700-$1200 plus install).
