Hello bought an 02 tundra for $1500 CAD and was trying to get it going as a work truck for under $4000 total. It had the frame replaced by Toyota 5 years ago, has all new breaks, cat back exhaust, and rocker panels.
But the truck still has some issues so I was looking for some guidance.
My only current codes are for 02 sensors I have on order, but when I fill my tank thereis a smell of gas in the cab, as well as when I first start it, and the cap hisses when I remove it. One of the hoses from the vaccume port too the charcoal canister was disconnected so I reconnected and may have made the smell worse. There are also to hoses cut off that I have no idea what are or do I will add a Pic of cut hoses.
Yes it's rusty but I live on an east coast island and ever vehicle looks like this underneath lol.

The hoses in question are cut in the space between the engine and front drivers wheel, and connect just below the cats.

The charcoal canister is probably damaged and not functioning properly. That would explain why someone disconnected it and why you are smelling fuel vapors more now that you've reconnected it. My $$$ is on the charcoal canister needing replaced at minimum.

@Jeff709 I have good news. In your first pic, those are actually breathers. Basically little vents that allow for pressure changes. One is for the front diff and I can never remember what the other one is for. Yours are horribly rusted and should be replaced. They aren't expensive. The metal tips should just be pulled out of that hose once the new ones arrive.

I think that the second vent is for the Transfer case.

Jeff, do you have any cel's or stored codes and exactly which model is your truck? Double cab, access cab or regular cab? And this is a 2UZ (8 cyl) motor, correct?
