Poll: is a hotdog a sandwich or a taco?

7-11 has cheese burger big bites. They're pretty good as far as 7-11 food goes.

 

What about a hard taco? It's not a tortilla and by your standards, it's not a taco...

 

Isn't a hard shell Taco just a soft shell tortilla that is deep fried?

We always do soft shell, usually homemade corn tortilla in our house.

If the hotdog were wrapped in a Tortilla, then it’s a taco. Otherwise, sandwich is the clear answer

I was thinking the same thing about similarity to a torta.
...and these things are delicious! I might grab one for lunch today.

 

I might pick up a few bolillo and throw down some breakfast sandwiches tomorrow morning. Those are so good with eggs, bacon, cheese, tomato slices and a smear of refried beans.

 

We started making our own chipotles about 15 years, red jalapeños, slow smoked till they’re about like raisins. Dried a bit more and then you can powder em and put it in a shaker. I literally use it on everything; eggs, soup, salad, popcorn, toasted cheese sandwich, coffee, hmmmm, I haven’t tried it on ice cream yet

Oh no sir, those people in the dfw area are fucking INSANE with their love of sonic. There's one on every single block.

 

I was just saying that I was underwhelmed when I finally got to try Whataburger. It's not bad, but it's not really a standout fast food burger either.


Anyway, hot dogs are a meat choice that can be put in a taco or a sandwich. On bread/bun it's a sandwich, and rolled in a tortilla it's a taco.

 

A lot depends on the location. There's a Whataburger a few blocks down the road from where I live. I drive past it without a second look to go to the one about 2 miles further away. The close one couldn't get an order right if their lives depended on it. The one farther away gets it right every time and the food quality is the best around. Give a second location a try if you get the chance, you might be surprised.

It is not a taco because it doesn't have a tortilla. You put chili on a chilidog but not a taco. You put mustard and ketchup on a hot dog, not a taco. You put rice, beans, lime juice, lettuce and guacamole on a taco but not a hot dog (If you do, WTF is wrong with you?)
