Greetings all! I have the center console wireless charger from sparks parts. I’m having an issue where it only charges for 1-3 minutes before turning red and disconnecting. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max with a fairly slim otter box symmetry case. Just curious if anyone else out there is having this issue or has any idea why it disconnects after a short period.

    Hmmmm

Have you had the same issue without the case on??

I’ve found the wireless charger to be useless with an iPhone 12.

Are all the issues strictly iPhone 12's? I run a Droid for personal use and a iPhone xr for work. Considering getting this to use for both.

Mine gets really hot as well. I think it might be the case either sliding a bit or the fact that the camera bump doesn’t allow it to sit flat. So st the slight angle from front to back that it looses contact and goes into protection mode? I was going to try a silicone / rubberized case to see if that might help it sit flat and not move

    Good info. Thanks!
I agree with the camera bump/case causing issues. If my galaxy isn't completely flat in my wife's car it won't engage charging either.

I’ll chime in, happens to my iPhone 12 too. I have other wireless chargers in the house that work fine, it’s just the one in the Tundra. Pretty much useless anymore.

I may go back to the homemade version in the center console. I don’t remember having any issues with that one

I just installed mine this weekend, tried it out this morning and it charged for about 20 minutes with no issues. iPhone 12 Pro. Small sample size, but sounds better than what most people are reporting here.

I have the same phone with the same issue. The fast charge did work for the first month now I get an error saying the fast wireless charging is not compatible with the charger.
