Hi, new member here. My husband & I are retired, love gardening & bike riding. We have had an issue with our 2014 tundra transmission overheating when we back our 35' travel trailer up our driveway. It's a fairly long driveway up hill & a couple of hairpin turns. I think we just need to get the tranny fluid replaced & I also understand there is a thermostat in the transmission. Any suggestions?

Get a hitch mount for the front bumper and push it up hill around a couple hair pins.

    And change the fluid

Well I would imagine the steep grade with a 35’ foot trailer would be an issue. What are the specs on the trailer? I don’t know that there is a 35’ trailer out there that I would consider towing with a half ton. If you’re having consistent overheating issues, I would consider purchasing the transmission cooler kit offered by @chasenicholas93

2014-2018 support is coming soon. The kit will work in conjunction with the factory cooling system.
