I had my 2000, bought 5/2000, sold mid-2020, up to 289k. The front bearings started to go, so I let it go. I’m sure it could have gone 100k more.

You're ahead of me and at my current usage rate I'll never catch up. 261,648. It's probably a little more than that since I ran a slightly larger tire for the last 140k miles.

I waited and last year I went to get a gyro for lunch and my left front gave out which ripped the top one out and it was sitting on the LF tire on a side road lucky me. Tow truck guy had a rough time with me helping him pop the tire back in to slide it up the flat bed. I will tell you that was miserable. I replaced upper and lower both sides that night and drank a bunch a beers to patch up my ego. The only good thing that happened there was the tow truck guy was nice enough to lift my front end with his flatbed so I could slide a jack stand under it outside my shop.

I wouldnt wish that experience on my worst enemy.

It's been so long since my dash was the factory yellow needle and green lights I've forgotten how 90's it looked. I swapped the green bulbs for white LED's and used an "Extreme" red sharpie to color the needles to change aka modernize the look.

This is a first gen section dang it…lol…that’s awesome to see! And based off my Jersey math skills, that’s only about 14-15k per year, so pretty average.

My pest control guy in Dolores CO just crossed 400k two weeks ago in his 2nd Gen, I will grab a picture next time he comes through. He replaced the trans with a used low mile (100k...) swap - "The transmissions are good for only about 315 thousand I have heard"..
    Any credibility to that thought?

@jhyoung420 transmission failures can be attributed to a number of factors. The overall lifespan of a Toyota Tundra transmission largely depends on how well it was maintained. Factory design flaws also factor into this equation, along with how hard you drive.

Here’s as of today. Not high mileage but, not low mileage either. It doesn’t get many miles a year out on it.
