So it's time for brakes, and I want to go with the powerstop z36 kit with red calipers however I'm running into an issue as far as confirmed fitment.

Every site I look at with the kit (p/n KC2813A-36) has fitment for only up to a 2015 Tundra, I have a 2018. To my knowledge nothing has changed brake related (rotors or calipers) from 2014 - 2021.

It does list a 2018 Sequoia as compatible with that kit. Can anyone confirm that part number will work on my 2018 before I drop a grand on brakes.

Or provide a part number for the exact kit with calipers for a 2018?

So just got off the phone with powerstop, and the fronts match up between the years with that kit, but they said the rears are not identified as being compatible. Anyone have this kit, or know of a rear caliper change from 2016+

What do you mean, with red calipers? Why are you changing calipers?

Just cause they come already powercoated red. Toyota dealership said they have different part numbers for before and after August 2015 for the rear calipers. Well damn, any recommendations on good paint or covers?

Just get some G2 paint and paint the existing calipers. The existing calipers are better than what that kit will come with anyway. And changing calipers is a whole different level of work when you need to bleed the whole system and know what to do/not to do to get air into the ABS system. Not knowing how to properly cycle the abs system if you get air in the lines will become a nightmare if you don’t know what you’re doing and you’ll wind up having to tow it to a shop or dealership to get fixed.

I've also been considering a brake upgrade, read some negative things about powerstop and bad squeaking problems. Not trying to rain on your parade, just sharing. Have you had any before or know someone else who has? There are lots of options, so taking my time.

Well I had planned on my dealership to do the whole install anyways with the new tire install. Just hesitant on painting.. don't want it to look like trash. I painted my brand new trd tailpipes black to match the TRD replacement system from Dirtydeeds and Colorado winter destroyed the paint within 2 weeks. Used recommended high temp paint and primer from them and multiple coats

If I just paint, I might as well just go back with OEMs. Had no problems with them, and have also heard mixed opinions on powerstop
