Installing next week... I'm having a shop swap some acquired low mileage front OEM coils and I'll throw them in myself...just in time for my July 4th trip to Liberty Lake, WA! Yeeeehaw!

*I'm setting front to one up from OEM...should be perfect for what I'm rocking.

Totally jealous! I'll probably have to sit on these for the next month, possibly 2. I've had some very large unexpected expenses come up, and there's no way in hell I'm messing with a spring swap myself. :blahblah:

Nothing for me yet but considering its been 118 degrees here in Phoenix they might just be sitting on the kitchen counter for awhile teasing me at breakfast.

Any thoughts on where to buy "new" top mounts? I'm having the shop swapping in the lesser mile OEM OR Springs...I forgot I need the top hate bushings....O'reily's or AutoZone; Toyota?!

**Nevermind...I ended up ordering new strut mounts, bushing/cushion & top nut from Sparks...I'm getting good at the hurry-up and waiting game! Next week the Falcons will be installed!

Damn these things are awesome looking! I can’t wait. What’s the story with reusing all the factory hardware? I’m at 15k mikes and was planning on re-using everything but now some are saying new top hats and bushings should be used? Thoughts on this?

You're good to go on reusing your OEM stuff...I'm at 67k miles and figured I'll just swap out for new with some CL 25k mile OEM springs...they are well built and I'm excited to have them on! I'm shooting for Tuesday next week! I'm doing my LOF this weekend along with throwing the topper back on before my American Birthday travel plans...I'm excited to try the Falcons on an 800 mile trip!! Yahoo!!

I am going to re-use everything but I am at only 1100 miles. Getting CB+1 shackles and a CB driver front shim on Friday. Planning on install after July 4th due to work commitment out of town - and still trying to determine what to do with the skid plate rear lock nuts (re-use or find alternates).

Why are you using a shim?

You are reusing your factory springs the drivers side spring is longer than the passenger side so you should not have the lean.
I have no lean on my truck and no shim.

The lean comes into play when you switch to aftermarket coils that are the same length.

Do you have a lean currently??

Phew! I was about to have a mild freak out if I needed a shim with this OE+ setup! Ha! Thank you for the clarifications you two!

Received my set and they are beautiful. Pulled one out and compressed it and you can feel how acurate the stroke is. I am looking forward to pulling off my 6112/5160 and install these on my next days off. I put the oem non TRD one in pic for reference. I have the TRD set I will side by side compare to as well. I will be pairing the Falcons with the TRD OFF-ROAD springs (made by Eibach)

I have the 38 gallon tank, does that warrant the idea to put the driver’s side front in the heavy accessory position to fix the lean? While setting the passenger side at level. I believe I had about 7/16” lean when it was new. But I also didn’t remember to see how full my tank was.

I would ask TeraFlex that one. My bet is they recommend you set both the same and use a shim for the lean.

Do you have a lean now???
You shouldn’t the factory drivers spring is longer to compensate for the driver and fuel.
You are reusing your factory springs so you should not have an issue.
If you have a lean now you will have a lean after the install but you won’t gain a lean from just swapping the strut.
If you have a lean now you likely have some other issue of worn/broken parts that should be addressed.

Out of curiosity where did you get your info that the factory coils are made by Eibach??

Edit: I now see you currently have 6112s your lean (if you have one) comes from them as the springs are the same length (presuming your are using the Bilstein springs).
The factory springs should not have a lean.
The bigger tank is only about 60lbs of fuel more and would not cause lean over the smaller tank.
