That could be awesome….lighter truck, better payload, 8 or 10 gears behind the 5.7. Imagine that truck with a supercharger…

 

good catch, I was really hoping they were moving away from JBL, that is going to need to improve 100 fold

 

It's just like everything...there's always something better. That's why JRT put a new system in my 20 Pro...now, I've got better volume than the old transistor radio I had as a kit.

 

It should do like JRT's system does me now...sometimes my crinklestar vibrates...or heart skips a beat. I like to rock it out.

 

yup, up until now, if you wanted to jam out to good sounding tunes, you had to go aftermarket for teh tundra, I guess we will see what they do with this one. Im not holding my breath, what came with my platinum was just TOTAL SHIT.

Yep, roll out the old infotainment system and of course a “fancy” JBL audio system with 6 of the cheapest tinniest sounding speakers available.

No transmission cooler. No rear locker. Mid pack power, payload, and towing.

A small fuel tank that shows empty at 3/4 actual capacity.

Then increase the price by $8000.00.

 

Will they have a leaking cam tower seal?

I like it but maybe a lot of black up front but I can deal with it. Problem for me is the 08 keeps going, 250K, drives great, I upgraded the infotainment and headlights etc. Going to be tough giving up another 50+K for a new truck…..

 

I'd hope so since the rumor is that Apple will be going portless soon.

It will look good in black for approximately 32 seconds after any washing. At the 33 second mark it will start showing every bit of pollen, dust, road grime, and gack to be found. Such is life with a black vehicle.

My black truck is covered in pollen, dust, and some unfortunate striping from camping this weekend and it's still better looking than any white Tundra.

I had a 2016 GTI that had the "upgraded" "Fender" system in it. Prior to 2015, VW used "Monsoon" branding.
Turns out those cars used the same speakers, made by Panasonic. I found it ironic that Japanese-branded speakers were re-labeled with a brand known more for guitar amps and then used in a German-branded car.

OEMs just buy the rights for branding these days.
