That is why I hope they have the big 25% off Fourth of July sale. I have a lot of items on my list.

I did the exact same things with the contacts. I used a small dremel and wheel to cut the connector in half.

Hell of a start for Fathers Day. Wife purchased a BAM exhaust for the tundra. So in a few weeks she will come alive and sound like a true animal:yes:

So took me about 5 hours total yesterday. Mounted the plexiglass using strong double sided foam tape to top of the fuse box lid. And mounted the circuit breaker, fuse box, and relays to plexiglass.

Wired everything up to the fuse box and covered in wire loom. Still have to stop by crutchfield and have them cut back the battery cables. Just made them extra long Bc I didn’t know exactly how I was going to route things.

Also installed a dual switch in the cab to control the light bar and ditch lights separately. I do have to tap into another wire to light the switches up when interior lights come on. They do come on when the switches are on.

And lastly my license plates came in already.

Hello all a quick question. Has anyone tried a sway bar with a front level kit? Or sway bar front and rear with a level kit?

I would like to level out the truck but don’t want to have it leaning too much I really enjoy driving it fast. I also don’t off-road if most dirt back roads but that’s all. Any help is appreciated. Thank you and stay safe!

I’ve got a 2” level kit with the factory front sway bar and a rear TRD sway bar. Adding the rear sway bar made a ton of difference in the cornering.

Are you running stock tires on your truck? I bought a set of Wrangler UltraTerrain on stock 275/55/20 was wondering if maybe the leveling and sway bar option would be pointless if the tires aren’t the right size

Edit: the sway bar did you get it from the Toyota dealership?

Stock rims and tires. I got It from a Toyota dealership off eBay. I paid around $270. If you have an impact wrench, it’s a 20 to 30 minute install. Just be sure to use the bushing grease that included in the kit. I should have painted it black before I installed It, not a big fan of the red color.

I decided I needed a backup camera because safety. Why not replace the head unit instead of just adding a screen?

The new head unit has a sub out wire so of course I need to add a subwoofer. But as long as I'm removing the rear seat, I better put some dynamat in!

That's how upgrades escalate. Anyway today I installed an 8" powered subwoofer (Kenwood KSC-PSW8), a pack of Dynamat Xtreme, a pack of 1/2" Dynaliner on the back wall, and a pack of Dynapad on the floor behind the front seats.

Got a lot done with the Slurp this weekend!

First and foremost was a wash. Cleaned the engine bay for the first time in my families ownership, possibly the first time ever. My dad told me that he has never cleaned it, so that became a priority. The truck desperately needs a de-con and clay, but ran out of time. Overall, she cleaned up very well for how hard she works.
    IMG_5907D.jpg IMG_5908.jpg IMG_5909.jpg IMG_5910.jpg

I pulled the badges off for a streamline look. I didn't realize there was a badge on damn near every body panel until I started peeling them off. Really like how this turned out, well worth the effort! I've never been much of a badge guy and do this on pretty much every vehicle I have.

    IMG_5916.jpg IMG_5917.jpg

Then I added some badging back with a TRD hunting theme bed decal. This is going to be a hunting, camping, fishing, outdoor rig, so it needs to look the part! Turned out a little bubbly, but hopefully they work themselves out in the sun. But most importantly, this converted my SR5 into a TRD Off Road....and added 15HP;)

    IMG_5918.jpg
    IMG_5919.jpg

Introduced the daily to the weekend rig for the first time under my ownership. With the 4.7L 4Runner and the 5.7L Tundra, they have 243,000 miles of experience with a combined MPG that makes Prius owners and my bank account angry. But man, they look pretty sharp for 2 old Toyota rigs.

    IMG_5921.jpg IMG_5922.jpg

I saved the worst for last. Discovered that all 4 bed corners are rusted out. I noticed the Line-X was soft, so I peeled some up only to find rust. Seems to be a common problem with some searching around here. Rest of the truck is rust free underneath (with the exception of normal surface rust on the leaf springs, drop shackles, etc.), which is the frustrating part. However, the old Toyota TSB caught up to my bed. Going to explore cutting & pasting, used OEM beds, new OEM beds and aftermarket beds. I'm planning on finding the most economical, easiest solution, whatever that may be. Either way, it's getting fixed and fixed properly. Looking to run this rig for another 143,000 miles and I can't do that if its rusting out!

    IMG_5912.jpg

Overall a good weekend learning about the new to me truck. Sorry for the long winded post!

Just ordered VLED bulbs for the wife’s and kids cars. Amazon has the Sealights on sale today and I think tomorrow. I think It’s some type of prime sale. The H11’s I bought last week were $39 and now they are $31. Not sure if they will be cheaper on July 4th. Figured I’d let you know

Bought an ozone machine to clean out some smells from the family van.

Worked pretty well to my nose, so I turned it on inside the Tundra for the heck of it too.
