Tell the salesman at the jeep dealership you will need a $2,000.00 gift certificate for Footlocker or AAA.

I think they look cool (Rubicon only) when belonging to someone else, but as I said about an orange mustang (bought a black one) several years back, I wouldn't want to step outside to one in my driveway every day. If that makes sense...

I couldn't handle the hipsters doing the cult wave at me all day and expecting me to wave back. I also don't like driving with flip flops on and a foot out the door.

This is the rendering of what was going to be my Gladiator build. I like the way they look when they are modified but the interior cabin is still to small for my comfort level.

Keep the tundra. Imo the last jeep worth buying rolled off the line in 2006.

I love the amc 4.0 too. If I don’t trade in and get a gladiator I’ll get a tj and keep the tundra too. Only thing slowing that idea is it has one seat too few to fit the whole family.

I am torn between paying outright and half down. Jeep is offering 2.9 apr right now. I average 14% in the market even with the ups and downs of COVID.

Well I wave to every Tundra driver I see on the road. Rarely get a wave back. Atleast the Jeep people are nice and wave back.

Imo the perfect jeep was the 2004-2006 unlimited . If I found one of those in Rubicon trim mint, it would be hard to pass on. I had a 97 tj back in the day.

Only reason to jump to Gladiator or Wrangler (Rubicon package...it's the only thing that is good) is if you have a serious need to go off road with extreme requirements...like black bear pass or even the rubicon trail...and you have zero time or ambition to modify a trd pro toyota.

This makes me question your definition of extreme off-road requirements. A stock Jeep Renegade Trailhawk did Black Bear Pass.

Sold my JT Rubicon after 5 months and I'm now hunting for a Tundra! It's so small inside and I'm the size of a hobbit. My poor dog would hit his head on the roll bar and there was very little room in the back for passengers. If you have three small kids, it's probably okay, but I'd definitely do a test fit first. And I agree with all the others on here that have said they need some accessories to make them look better. I tossed 315/70R17 Cooper STTs on there with the stock suspension and it made a world of difference. Did well on the highway and around town, and you have a bed for house projects, so that's handy. Not a terrible little truck over all, but it's an expensive and LITTLE truck.

I think they're pretty rad. However, if you're not going to take advantage of the wheel base of a wrangler, I would just buy a Tacoma.

I've been in a gladiator a few times. They're crazy cramped. It could just be that I'm used to driving large vehicles but it felt closed in

They really just are that cramped! The JKU I had two vehicles before felt more spacious because the space behind the seat made the cab feel bigger. And taking the top and doors off definitely helps, but there's still very little space in the center console/shifter area. Major first world problem, but I need space for my drinks and snacks on a roadtrip!

Black bear only has one challenging section when you crest the summit and head down the other side where depending on vehicle may lift a tire. An fj dumped itself on its side there. Even then though it was more driver error than anything, the rest is more or less just mentally challenging. Switchbacks would be a challenge in either vehicle.

So the fact that it’s literally the only convertible truck is irrelevant?

A JGC SRT came into the shop for air ride. Thing had 32k miles and pieces of dash and the steering wheel we’re already peeling off. Course, this could just be owner neglect. Haven’t seen any other Jeep like it yet.

Now try and talk me out of a Raptor.
