Got my truck back from a gear install and did the initial break-in thing. Can't wait to get it to 500 and get the gear oil changed.

Running 35s and went with 4.88. I would have preferred 5.29, but I have a 4.7 in my Gen 2 (2008) and nobody makes a 5.29 for it. Either way, truck is driving way better now.

So I haven’t done it yet, but mocking up my circuit breaker, aux fuse, and relay bracket. Will attach it to the top of the OEM fuse box in engine bay. EE4C5CD5-60B0-437A-B4D5-568111DC3DDA.jpg

I also have the 4.7, 2007... I'm about to put a 3.5" lift and 35x12.5s on, was the regear really necessary?

Mine was really sluggish off the line, so yeah it was necessary for me. It feels like stock now and seems to want to "go" a bit more than I remember before getting the 35s, but I'm refraining from opening it up till I reach the recommended 500 miles and change the gear oil.

Brought home a Tundra a couple weeks ago! She's a 2012 DC TRD OR with 140k on the 5.7 and tow package. Seems like the truck was pretty well looked after, and we are loving it thus far.

One of the headlights has a leak and some condensation, but I found a decent deal on some morimotos, so we'll save the originals with blue bulbs for another project down the road.

I also had a little fun cutting up the original grille to add a mildly retro insert. Love the look

That about covers everything except 8qts of mobil 1, a new metal filter housing, and some usb/usb-c replacements for a couple of the power outlets.

Short list is a set of eibach stages 2's, as the bilsteins appear to be original to the truck. Also would like to relocate the rear diff breather and probably change the gear oil while I'm under there. Recommendations for gear oil? I run the purple stuff in the bimmer

    Day we brought her home:

Just bought our 07 with 179k on the clock 2 weeks ago. Replaced spark plugs. Changed all fluids, about to change out trans filter with new fluid this week. Hooked up Prodigy 2 brake controller. Put on a Tyger trifold tonneau cover last week. It's supposed to be 100 F today, so I'll wait to install new heated seat kits until the end of summer.

I haven't calculated yet, but it seems to be same as or close to stock, but noticeably better than stock on 35s. 1/4 down to 1/2 doesn't drain as quickly, that's where I was noticing it most.

Getting ready for sound upgrade.truck1.jpg The Sound Shield is coming later today and no one in town had a roller that I should have ordered. Found a used metal handle in the Re Store. Was able to come up with this.roller.jpg From parts I had laying around.

I just installed a lightly used TRD muffler and dirty deeds turn downs.

a slightly noticeable rumble at certain rpms and little more at full throttle. I could have used a little more sound but good enough for me and the price.

Picked the usb off Amazon. Tons of options. Took it out tonight and not sure I like the Voltage reading on it. Could see a blue reflection in the rear window. Might swap it out later.
Install was simple. Had to dremel out a bigger opening as this one was bigger that the OEM one. And had to modify the 12V wiring harness. But took me maybe 30 min.

    Lots o’ mods
I have now swapped three of my 12V ports out with these (the two in the dash, and the one in the rear of the console). Like BoysandhisToys, I sourced mine from Amazon, except mine illuminate in red, which I wanted so they would match the existing dash lighting. Straightforward install and an easy upgrade. You’ll need to slightly enlarge the existing hole and make simple wire connections after you cut off the factory connector. A cheap and easy upgrade, especially if you have several devices to charge or carry passengers who do.

I may swap one of them out to a USB-C port now that I’ve got a new iPhone that supports it, but otherwise happy.

Planning on getting to it this weekend. Bought most of this stuff for my Tacoma to organize and manage my accessories there, but never got around to it.
I’ll be wiring up my light bar and ditch lights with this setup first. Going to do it right from the start. Kept telling myself I was going to clean up the wiring in my Taco, but kept putting it off.

I've only done the 2 under the center stack, but found it weird that the factory sockets and corresponding holes are different sized. I had to enlarge one with a step bit, but the other (passenger side) was already the appropriate size.

Also the socket replacements I got had typical spade connectors on them. I just cut the factory harness in half and didnt have to splice or solder a thing to have insulated connections.

...wish the red had been available, but photo toxic blue is what I received. Luckily the little covers actually stay in place, so I dont have to know they are glowing blue.

Did you get the VLED bulbs from their website? Did you by any chance get the yellow fogs? Let me know how the lights look thinking of getting the 6000k option due to the description that it throws off a little hint of blue. Possibly buy them for 4th of July weekend
