    Hello!

I was "lucky" enough to get a MGM Platinum below MSRP and am totally excited. I've previously had a built 5th Gen MGM 4runner and before that was a 3rd gen built 4runner. I have promised not to do any "heavy modding" for at least 2 years (thats when I expect the tires will need replacing. ha!)

I am looking at getting my bed Line-x'ed and was searching for any "tips and tricks" on what to do/look out for when getting it done.

Should I have them leave the bed rails in so they can spray over them? I've seen some photos where people have taken them out and there ends up being a few inches at the top of the sides that arent Line-X'ed. Anything else I should have them do?

I've already ordered the Diamondback HD so I dont plan on getting the UV protection.

    Thank you in advance!

    Alot of them
I would remove the rails so that they can spray behind them. You will have to clean out the holes to reinstall them. Take the rails out yourself though...they will charge you to remove them.

I had line-x put on and came out great. 1 suggestion I would have is make sure they are going to protect your cab and anything in the vicinity. They damaged the paint to the left of back window.

    Thank you for the tips!

I will make sure they cover the cab and surroundings...I would hate to have to take that off before I put ceramic on. I will also take the rails out before!

Congrats on the truck! I just snagged a 2021 TRD off road limited in Army green, and I too need a bed liner. Blew my mind it didn't have one already. Most bare bones SR5's I saw had a bed liner from the dealer/factory.

I removed the rails, but informed my shop I was planning on re-installing, they placed bolts in the holes and kept the LineX out of the holes while applying to those areas, so I did not have to clean them out.

Run your bolts from the rails back into the holes, that way you can just cut around the bolt heads instead of trying to locate and pick bedliner out of the threaded holes.

Congrats to you as well! I wasnt too disappointed since I've heard Line-X may be thicker than the factory and also has a lifetime warranty.

Great ideas! I will be sure to put the bolts back into the holes before they spray. Do they typically spray over all of the other bolts in the bed?

I just told the shop I wanted the holes left open, they used their own bolts, when I picked up my truck, the bolts had been pulled snd the holes were clean

Yes, at least in my case. They sprayed over the front bed hooks, but not the rear by the tailgate. The bed bolts were covered, but not the ones for the access panel of the tailgate.

    Thank you!

It seems like there is a national materials shortage and the ones with material in stock are $200 more than the others. Looks like I'll be waiting a bit.

I've been on a waitlist for over a month at my local line-x dealer. I got tired of waiting and have an appointment for a Bullet Liner install next week!

Do you leave the bed bolts on or pull them?

Line-X is definitely worth the wait. The products are the best. Very happy with mine.
