Hard Justice for Catalytic Converter Theft

I didn't say God has anything to do with the choices we make. I said we're defined by who He says we are, despite our ability to see that, or despite our choices.

 

Everybody deserves justice...not everybody deserves mercy.
If I was working for the cartels stealing palladium and platinum I would rather steal from a social worker or nun than from a cop that spent 3 tours in Afghanistan as a grunt.
If I am going to spend some of my empathy on anyone it's the victim not the perp.

Ever been the victim of a crime, once or several times?

Ever seen the cops, DAs office and courts laugh at you as you expect those who violated your property face charges?

Ever had a DAs office tell you they are not going to prosecute anyone since there is no proof a crime was committed, never mind the fact that the perps were caught with your property, admitted they broke into your house and ya thats your shit so what? Then have the same DAs office tell you if you do not like it you can move?

When you do you will know the rage.

Not guilty if I was on that jury.

 

God has nothing to do with who we because he does not exist in that form or any form.

 

I will never understand the masses who believe that because a guy was stealing a catalytic converter, it is justified that he died doing so. While it is true that thieves a slimy pieces of crap, I can’t wrap my head around the thought that it was “justice”. We have no idea what situation this person was in - did he lose his job and needed to feed his kids? Not saying that it is acceptable if so - just saying……

I save those feelings of “get what you deserve” for the priests touching little boys, child molesters, rapists and the like……

Sometimes people do drugs, most times drugs do people. Stuff just isn't what it used to be folks.

 

There are no shortages of social welfare programs in the United States, to the point of being ridiculous in my opinion.

Stealing to put food on the table is not necessary, and no thieves use their money for buying food. Food stamps are more than ample for acquiring food for those on the public dole.

However, you can’t buy crack or meth with food stamps and they’re tougher to turn into money than stolen catalytic converters.

The best solution on a state by state level would be rigorous inspections of salvage operations and scrap metal operations. If one of those guys can’t produce a paper trail to include the VIN number of the vehicle a catalytic converter came from, they get say a $100,000 fine for each part.

 

We all make choices every day and then need to live with the choices we make… or die in this case…

 

I have and I didn't murder the criminal, drag their body behind my truck and drive away.

 

Of course He exists. But don’t take my word for it, ask Him yourself.

 

He got what he deserved. No way around it. He had other choices. Think of the victim. What if he was struggling to feed his family and could only afford liability insurance.

I've driven by this shop many times. It's on the corner of a Lowes lot right at a corner of a busy intersection and fenced as far as I could remember.

 

It has a lot to do with liability if someone gets hurt in an altercation too.

 

Laws mean nothing without enforcement. Enforcement means nothing without prosecution.

 

The cops are not dumb, they are smart. Why arrest someone if the DA will not prosecute them? It is not worth the risk to bodily harm. Think about this, NY city has a cop killer working with the city council for police reform.
