I just wanted to give a public thank you to James at Tech12Volts. My whole experience was above expectation.

The parts shipped a week faster than expected and I was thrilled with the price. As I unboxed everything I noticed how much work James had put into my system already, connecting harnesses, making sure I had the right number of screws. And everything I needed was sitting right there in one box. The sound is exactly what I was looking for, and probably a lot better than I expected for the price I paid. The value added by getting a pre designed system, that was super easy to install, worked right the first time, with ZERO TRIPS TO THE STORE... I can't even put a price on that.

    Thanks James!

Which system did you order? Still trying to get up the courage and time to start my install.

I got the JL speakers and subs with a 5 channel infinity amp. I just emailed James and said "I have this truck and this much money. Tell me what to do". And he was right! Install is really easy on a non JBL. I sound deadened the whole truck, which took three times as long as the install. But the road noise is greatly improved and the door speakers really thump.

Nice! Good to know. I'm planning to do the sound deadening little by little. Just do each door when I do the speaker. And then do the entire back at once.

There's better ways to contribute to the conversation, like why you don't like it, and what you think is better. But that would take actual thought.

    Infinity 5 Chan amp (7005a?)
    JL C1 6.5 for all 4 doora
2x JL C1 10in subs in custom box. (I was kind of impressed with the ingenuity of the box.)

I'm happy with it. It's not rattling the rear view but has nice punch and bass. I would highly recommend sealing the doors with some kind of sound dampening. I did the whole truck and the ride is much quieter. I used kilmat 80mil. I'm happy with it so far. It sticks and dosnt stink much at all.

Check your sub model - W1 maybe? It isn't C1...

I have the same components with JL W0 subs and LOVE it.

There are plenty of posts about his crazy expensive audio build that is a decade in the works but install hasn't begun...

You right. It's the W0 I believe. The base model.
