    Hey hive mind,

I'm replacing the stock stereo HU with a Pioneer DMH-1500NEX + Maestro RR (only thing I can find in stock) and I am perplexed by what these two cables are for? One is black, one is white. Both have the same connection on the end. Are these for Sirius XM and something else? Everything seems to work outside of the Factory microphone. I can't tell if I am able to retain that or not with the Maestro or if I have to use the one that shipped with the HU (which I'd rather retain the factory microphone if possible).

The Maestro instructions don't mention them and Crutchfield didn't offer any cables for them when attempting to piece out what I needed for the swap.

    Thanks!

The factory microphone is not retained with the Maestro. The black connector looks like either the GPS or sat radio antenna. I don't recall the white one when I installed my Pioneer.

Forgot to mention that not all cables with the Meastro will be used. Most of the functions are in the data cable. You won't use the OBD port cable either.

Thanks for the quick response. Shit. I was hoping to save the factory mic. Guess I'll run it up to the steering wheel to mount it. Oh well. I'll quit googling for an answer I'll never find.

Looks like I need to pick up the TO2 harness. Not that I necessary need it but may as well hook it up.

I don't need this for the gauge output?

In my 2015 with the non-JBL radio the 2nd antenna connection was not there and it was needed to set the clock in the radio that I replaced it with.
I replaced the radio with a newer better but still non-JBL radio and I had to buy a cheap Sat Antenna just so the stupid thing can set the clock at all.
It somehow uses the Sat radio tuner to set the clock.

So the one is for the Sat Radio and the other is to set the clock.

Guess how long it took me to figure that one out?

So you should not need that second one for any other radio I have ever seen anywhere.

For sure one of the strangest "Features" that I have ever seen?

First picture the wire with the foam around it is the GPS antenna, the second picture is the satellite antenna.... There is a separate wiring harness beyond the T02/3 to adapt these. Both adapter come in a single kit...

Thx for confirmation. If I don't have nav on the stock unit, what would the GPS be used for?

I do not believe that is used for anything... It would have been there as a normal chassis build, so if the Nav has been included as an option the antenna would be in place... The antenna itself sits just under the top of the dash.... So if you are not installing an after market radio that needs GPS then you can leave it disconnected...

I think the GPS antenna may be used when you hook your phone up to the HU.
But I don't even see a GPS antenna plug on your HU.
    Did it come with one?
If yes, use it and tuck under the area of the center dash speaker.

If you want Sirius/XM you'll need a SiriusXM 3.0 tuner.
But in all honestly, it will sound better if you run off your phone with the Sirius/XM app.
It is easier to navigate on the screen with the SiriusXM 3.0 tuner, but the sound is so much better off the app.
I don't even use the SiriusXM 3.0 tuner in my Tundra anymore.
I use wireless Carplay and app.

    As to the bluetooth mic.
I tucked my wires thru the dash behind the steering wheel and up behind the pillar and headliner.
It is easier if you remove the pillar.

I don't even notice mine is there anymore..

Was able to wire the new stereo mic up in a few minutes. Wife said I sounded really clear when testing. I ordered the missing harness and it will be here when it gets here.

Tested it out with and without the OBDII sensor and definitely need it if I want the car features gauges. Though I don't seem to have transmission temp or tire pressure.

Tire Pressure will work when you get the cable... However the Transmission temp and oil temp do not work on the RR... Maestro has told me that those codes are not being sent on the CANBus channel they are listen too... Oh and I have 2019 CrewMax as my reference...

That cable will enable tire pressure?

I ordered whatever idatalink said to get that I'm missing. Should be here in a week.
