I don’t know too much about suspension and lift kits and that type of stuff, just looking for info from those who are more informed/done this upgrade to their own truck

    Thanks

How much lift are you looking to get? I raised mine 2 inches with Bilstein 5100's/Dobinson's springs up front, and a Custom Alcan Leaf spring pack/Bilstein Shocks in the back.

    Whats your budget?

Honestly, Your truck looks good as is, unless it rides like fermented piss.

Wanting to raise about 2-2.5 inches in the front only cause I plan to add bigger wheels and tires in the future and I don’t want it to rub.
I’d like to stay near $500-600 as well

Are you DIY capable or are you paying a shop?

I ordered my bilsteins with Dobinsons from 1stgenoffroad.com, and paid them to assemble them so I could install them myself.

I didn't enjoy the thought of spring compressors, or messing up the assembly of them.

    Shocks/springs/assembly was right around $680/700

What kind of leveling kit do you want?

Before I had a 3 inch leveling kit spacer, but removed it because it lifted up the front too much and gave me Cali lean. Swapped it out for a 2 inch kit and was pretty happy with it for a while.

A couple months passed and I realized I should’ve got bilsteins or Quicklift coilovers. Leveling kit spacers make your ride really bad. I was getting sick of it tbh.

I ended up buying rancho 2.5 Quicklift coilovers. $380 and have stiffness settings. Affordable and ride nicely.

I agree with the Quicklift. I've had them on for 2 1/2 years. They ride pretty well. Truck sat perfectly level from day 1. The dampening adjustment is nice, but I found I like it on the highest setting. I think I have about $600 in the setup, including the alignment. IMG_20200801_112659062_HDR.jpg
