I replaced my OEM Radio with a KW-Z1000W into my 2021 Tundra. I had the WIFI Connect for the car, but I'm not seeing the signal? I realize you have to use the radio's WIFI to have Wireless Apple Car Play. So I've been connecting it with my USB cable so I could still use my car WIFI. So I'm wondering if the radio WIFI is knocking the car WIFI out? Thoughts?

Since I removed the Factory radio, does that mean that I can't use WIFI in my truck now?

The wifi for the new unit is only used for Apple car play. It does not provide a hot spot like the oem radio did. The oem wifi antenna was internal of the factory radio.

So what he is saying above is that the WiFi you were able to see and use before was inside the factory radio and now without that radio you will not have that WiFi.

Just to make this as clear as possible.

If I got this process correct:

You need to go with your phone as the WiFi hotspot. Then connect your radio WiFi to your phone’s WiFi

Yikes...that sucks. I mean the WIFI wasn't great for starters....but I paid for a year of service. Let's see if I can get that money back.

The new radio has WIFI. But that WIFI is only for the Wireless Apple Car Play.

This is what I do. I have a firestick and can stream using my phone as a hotspot.
