I’d like to remove the current lift I have and return back to stock or level, whatever would be easier. I’d like to remove and replace the least amount of parts possible. If anyone could tell me what exactly I’d need to replace to accomplish this I would appreciate it. It currently has old man emu struts in the front and skyjackers in the back with after market UCAs. Thanks

Is this a subframe drop lift? If so, was the frame cut to make room for the new subframe drop? If so, you are not going to be able to return it to stock unless you weld the frame back. The truck will no longer have a clear title if it was cut.

Not really sure what that is or how to identify it. I bought the truck lifted like this a few years back. It had a clear title when I bought it so I guess not ?

Looks like it's 2WD? Those might just be lift spindles if it is, nothing would have been needed to be cut.

The subframe is what the lower control arms bolt to and supports the front differential. It’s hard to tell from the pic of there is one. But the rear looks like at least a 3-4” block in the block, which leads me to believe it’s at least a 6” lift, which would require a subframe drop. The spindle also does not look like a stock piece. Is this a 2WD truck? Not seeing an axle up front. Those almost look like lift spindles.

It looks like you have OME coilovers with maybe Maxtrac lift spindles. They are lift spindles for sure though based on the design and distance your UCA is away from the tire. You would need to find factory spindles to replace those as they probably have about 4" of lift built into them. The rear is easy. Just remove the block and get new u-bolts.

It is two wheel. I brought it to an off-road place to lower it and the shop wasn’t really interested in lowering it. The guy there did look at it and mention having to replace spindles

So in the front replacing just the spindles would work? I wouldn’t have to replace the struts or UCAs to lower it to stock ?

Replacing the spindles would bring the front down some but the OME coilovers still have about 3" of built into them and those cannot be lowered unfortunately.

I looked up the specifics OME coil overs by the model number it says it has 2.5” lift. So if I replaced the spindle and removed the blocks in the rear would that work ? Could I leave the current UCAs? The shocks in the back say 4-5” lift so what would I have to do there ? As long as it’s level or stock I would be fine.

Take a picture from the front, ground level.

I see spacers under the swaybar mount as well. Looks like various products put together. The spindle has definitely been replaced

Yes you could leave the UCAs and yes you would probably need shorter rear shocks as well. Also pull those front sway bar spacers as well if you are just running the OME coilovers. I will say that OME has been known to have much more lift than advertised. Based on the angle of your LCA I would say that are closer to the 3-3.5" range.

For comparison. Here is my front end with a 2.5 lift. You can see how much less angled the LCAs are.

I cannot figure what lift that is. The spindle looks aftermarket, but does not look like maxtrac or cst. Yet it doesn’t have a subframe drop.

it definitely looks like a lift spindle and the taller struts. You’ll need oem UCas, spindles, and shocks/coils

Those actually maybe the QSA spindles. They are Maxtrac knockoffs sold on Amazon and EBay

I have stock struts and rear shocks if you are around New Orleans. I believe you can keep the front spindles and achieve about 3.5” of lift.

the 2020 parts would still work on an 08 no problem! I put 18 parts on my 07, great new OEM fresh suspension.

    To the original poster
Front: Replace aftermarket spindle with stock, replace OME coilover with stock, remove tie rod extension, remove sway bay lowering plate at frame, you could leave the upper control arms or replace them as well to maybe sell and recoup some more cost.

Rear: Remove lift block use new shorter ubolts, replace long shocks with shorter shocks.

Get the stock parts off someone who just lifted one like BigsToy - except you might get a slight lift off of 4x4 front struts it should be fine. The spindles are the only hard part to find now.

I guess a good question, how much do you want to lower the truck?

LOL What? You're saying that everyone who cuts their crossmember to install a drop bracket lift no longer has a clear title? That is 100% not true.

And 2wd trucks don’t cut the crossmember with lift kits :p

Thats a lot of angle! Somebody collected a hell of a Frankenstein kit there. @blackoutt nailed it even though his truck is not the right color.

By the way, what size tires are on that truck? What wheels? That might add to the parts list.
