    Still rolling stock baby....

Try coming home after work to your house having been broken into
You then catch the 3 shit stains who did with your property they are loading into their vehicle
    Cops finally show up
Said consider yourself lucky you caught the ones who did it and got your property that never happens

only one of the three went to jail that day the. Was released
Other 2 never were arrested or charged

the da office told me to move in and forget it they will not prosecute because there was no evidence a crime was committed

    yes you read that right

I got shit on and the justice system could care less meanwhile the three that broke into my house went on vacation to mettle beach while I had to clean up their mess

    Fuck thieves

Simple, put in basic education for those who can't read or write, then graduate them to life skills and vocational training. No cable TV, no workout rooms. Just a rock pile for those who decide to either sleep through class or skip it entirely. As an added incentive, march everyone on their way to class past those on the rock pile.

I don't know what world you live in, but the "justice" system of the United States has been so convoluted by lawyers and stupid judges that the victim almost always suffers more that the crook. That is NOT an exaggeration. The police have the hardest job in the world. Catch the crook, then avoid the thousands of ways to screw up the evidence to finally put the crook away. You don't want valid evidence thrown out due to a "technicality."

This is so true and the criminals know it
My wife is a drug and alcohol counselor she has worked in a prison, methadone clinics, and now a private company that does DUI classes and after care treatment for people to get their licenses reinstated. I’ve seen rap sheets from these career criminals and just plain thugs that most of you wouldn’t believe and they are out looking for their next opportunity

:amen: To the fact the police have the hardest job in the world these days it’s even risky for the police to help people

Hopefully the car was unharmed. As for the jack, it was probably made in China, so definitely disposable. The dead thing, lucky him, sooner or later he probably would have lost his life in a much more painful manner or resided in a wheelchair for life after being confronted by an owner with a baseball bat or similar. Some might even load one up, head to the hills, anchor to a tree, fire up the sawzall and cut off the good old "exhaust pipe" and let the bastard bleed! Clown got off easy!

I think the real question is, would you piss on the corpse? Am I being to harsh? Not trying to be mean, but frankly, whenever one of these scumbags removes himself from the genepool it's better for the species.

There is a worker shortage in Washington state. There are plenty of jobs. There is no reason to steal from people that have jobs and spent their hard earned money on a vehicle possibly causing them to be without transportation for weeks or months waiting for replacement cats as there is a shortage of cats in the country because asshat thieves are stealing them on a record scale. The justice system didn't make him "resort to stealing cats". That is like saying a guy beat his wife because she made him by pissing him off.

It s funny you say that. When I was in basic training back in 78 I noticed piles of rocks the size of soccer balls all around base, and as time went on those piles would move around. I found out later they were the CCP s handy work. CCP stands for corrective custody platoon. Apparently they pulled double duty. The regular marine training, and also moving rock piles all over base. They wore chrome helmets, so it was easy to spot them. When they came into the chow hall they had 5 min to eat cause they had to get back to their rocks:D

nope. not fine at all. knowingly buy stolen goods and you're a criminal. junkie comes in with 16 cats every morning after a night of thievery and you're more than complicit, you're a co-conspirator. Stop buying from criminals, and the cats won't be stolen at all.

At some point the places that buy the cats should be held responsible. They are basically the dealer in a reverse way. Kinda like hey it’s illegal to do crack so let’s arrest the crackheads meanwhile the crack house on the corner is just booming with business and that’s ok.

I was implying that a recycling center should be able to legally buy and recycle parts. A muffler shop owner may be the guy selling multiple legally obtained used cats for his beer money. You can't punish those doing legal business just because there are bad apples.

yes, but you know the difference between a muffler shop truck coming in and the junkie with a duffle. I can't believe for one second they don't know full well what they're doing.

At the same time, if one place or individual don't buy them another one will. Anytime money is involved, greed will rule the day. If they weren't stealing cats it would just be something else. Theft has been around forever and will continue no matter what. I have a lifted easily accessible exhaust, do I sweat it, not a whole bunch, zero deductible comp. insurance and play the odds. Eventually my custom sliders will have cross members from left to right under the frame that will prevent EZ cat theft. In many parts of the world things are worse and you have to anti theft the mirror glass, light lenses, emblems, etc., so be thankful for not having to rivet steel straps over your mirror glass yet.

I understand and agree that those who fund this type of thievery are complicit. Simple fact is - the few honest dealers suffer at the hands of dishonest fences who will sell this stuff for 5x more than they paid.

Part of the problem with our society - we seek to hold everyone complicit. The schools for not giving the “victim” an education, the welfare system for not supporting them, the criminal justice system for not holding them accountable or providing adequate rehabilitation. At a point - there’s a personal responsibility that comes first. I have the option to take part in criminal activities and those who will help me - but I take personal responsibility and don’t. Being complicit and being directly responsible are 2 different things.

Funny the mention of copper thieves - growing up in Appalachia in the 90s - it was a VERY common thing to steal from mines - mostly closed or non producing operations. Had some friends from school who went out scavenging for beer money one day - the cause of what happened varies depending on source of the story - but what happened and the result were undisputed - a lighter was lit underground and 2 of the 3 didn’t walk out.

Also can recall the old man telling me of bumping into 3 guys underground stealing control boxes and other items off a long wall. They had a connection with a couple of tiny scab mines in the backwoods of Ky - they would target bigger operations and steal valuable specialized equipment for mines. It was quite the quandary for him and his buddies - you hate to watch a thief get away with something and your a union man knowing these were going to non union operations - but at the same time you hate your employer and the way they treat you and you know these guys were costing them tens of thousands of dollars at a time and probably buying you a couple of paid days off till the company could replace the stuff the stole to get back in operation.

At the end of the day, It's about the choices we make. I can sleep well at night, but it just means I have to get up the next morning and bust my ass at my job. The thief doesn't give a damn and if he gets caught 3 squares and a cot, courtesy of working stiff.

Thieves care about getting caught - they just prefer it be by an officer of the law.

In general - the outcome is much more favorable to them versus being caught by some angry large redneck whose truck just had some minor surgery performed on it.

God has nothing to do with the choices we make. He was the scum of the earth and got what we deserved. Better for the rest of us because if he was caught we would have to feed him and give him a home.
