A thief could be a parent trying to put food on the table. By filth I mean rapists, murderers and... baby-kissers (ie: the worst kind of thief)

(don't mean to anger you mr moderator, but such are my beliefs.)

Kinda icky to be laughing about but it's hard to be too sympathetic. A guy can't learn a lesson if they're not alive to learn it.

We will just have to agree to disagree. A thief is garbage at best to me. I worked my azz off for my stuff. You steal it ,you got whatever you get coming. Too many ways to get food without stealing. Good Riddance in my book.

I understand those who have compassion for the thiefs life. But what if the thief had stole the convertors and the owner lost their job because they could not get to work. Many people live paycheck to paycheck and a loss of transportation could have a huge impact on a family. An onion has many layers.

Respectfully disagree. With all the welfare programs out there, from food stamps to WIC, and so forth there is no need for anyone to steal to put food on the table.

Thieves are low life pieces of shit, who take advantage of folks who are working to pay their way thru this life. Having been a victim of a break in and watching how the courts and LE treat the thieves over the victims I am not saddened by that shit stain who helped remove himself from the gene pool. Fucks be to him.

What's funny is I have seen more people take a softer stance as they age. I am the opposite and have much more respect for those who contribute to society as I get older. You are 100% correct, there are so many programs available government and private to aid those in need. For those that want to steal, they more likely not do not want to conform to the rules associated with the handouts.

Yup. I already work hard to pay for their shit. Then they steal from me too? Eff that noise.

The worst part is even if you have the money to replace them, they are on backorder. IMO someone who steals cats is the scum of the earth. Stealing thousands to cash in on hundreds for your next fix.

I've considered taping an envelop with $100 in it to my cats, and a note that says this is all you'll get for them so leave them alone.

Problem is I bet they'd take the cats too and consider it a bonus.

No no, unless you read a different article. A neighbor spotted him at 7am, security footage marked it happening around 2am. Nobody saw it happen live and let it be.

I'm not a US citizen, so I can't speak for any social program's effectiveness in the developed world... as a Mexican all I see is people trying to survive. Last year when covid first struck, me and my coworkers literally filled my truck with food and household supplies and distributed it to people in need... government did squat. I'd not be surprised if those same people we helped were a day away from thievery, you'd believe it too had you seen their faces.

At any rate, I don't condone thieves of any kind, just wanted to imply that not all acts of crime are to be punished equally, such as death for a catalyst.

    Agreed with all of it.
True. But that kind of harshness usually goes hand in hand (ahem) with incredibly oppressive conditions across the board.

I am speaking strictly from a US view point. Welfare here is abundant. Overly so. There is no need to steal to put food on the table in the US.

Other countries the situations may be different no doubt and I do not speak for them.

In today's polarized climate, I have zero fucks to give regarding the thief's demise.

As to the loss of life, that shit stain won't be breeding will he.

To members with heart's bigger than mine, "take the blinders off". Shit is just getting started.

I can see it now, warning stickers on all vehicles ! Caution this was manufactured to have 4 wheels on the ground, failure to do so, or alter the stance in any way may cause serious injury or death.

    lol that reminds me

in high school I took a auto shop class. Loved it gave me a lot of great hands on repairing vehicles.

I had a basic knowledge of things as did most buy there was a mix of students who had no skills or knowledge as well

one of those guys was trying to remove the front passenger wheel with it sitting on the ground
He had the lug nuts removed, he was sitting on the ground with his legs under the car and he pulling as hard as he could on the tire to pull it off

I stopped him and said ya no don’t do that here let me help you

guy was 17 and had never changed a tire before

I’ll probably be in the super minority here but it could be that the harsh justice system is what made him resort to stealing cats in the first place.

I’m all for jailing criminals, but after they get out they need a way to find gainful employment. That’s gonna be hard to do with a criminal record that follows someone for a lifetime, even if the initial punishment was lenient.

Justice served. Thieves do not get punished so they keep stealing. My most recent encounter with thieves is a Jeep of mine that I’ve had for 18 years was stolen and burnt to the ground but before they burnt it they took the wheels tires and stereo system. One of the thieves had already put my wheels and tires on his jeep and the cops showed up and we got the wheels tires and stereo back From him yet no arrest was made. They say they are working a case on them. We’ll see. Do I wish death on them? No. But they will remember their fuck up for the rest of their days.

Here in Oregon you can't even ask about a felony before hiring unless it is for a federal banking position. It is not hard for a criminal to get a job due to their record. It is hard for a criminal to get a job due to their upbringing and choices.
