Apologies. Out of town, out of my mind, frequently out of cellular service, and trying to stay busy.

Didn't get to read everything here, but it all seems to be well in hand. Carry on.

Since this thread has gone less Seinfeld and more random, I’d like to bring things back in good natured rhibbery. I’m not allowed to vote on this so I can remain ‘unbiased’. Plus, I can’t like my own posts.

All data collected will be used against you in every way.

This must be new lunch table thread.

Anyways, I'm still in work clothes from last night (because I've been crawling around under the corolla on the gravel) and I got off at 8:30pm.

    Don't feel bad.

I tried to set it up for an easy ‘like’ for everyone. If I did it the other way around, then it would have been a double negative and either way I still wouldn’t be able to vote. Its a way to remain ‘unbiased’.

Last Memorial Day the on call guy was meeting someone at the shop to swap on call phone; but the electrician was there as well(he’s known for napping all over campus, not showing up to clock out because he’s asleep) so he asked him “why are you here” to which the electrician replied “I’m here to work, what do you mean?”
“You know what day it is right?”
“Yeah it’s Monday, do you think I’m dumb?!”
At that point the on call guy just said “ok have a good day”

Your Sparky reminds me of ‘Beady Bill’ (nickname Hat Tip to ‘Double Wide’ RIP :hattip:)

Beady was real good at dodging work. Best ever at looking busy, but never getting anything done which is an Art Form. High Level Stuff. Low IQ, though.

We had a guy like that who was ALWAYS working on the 2nd gen sequioa back door robot. He'd plop down on a bucket and unplug one wire, and plug it right back up. Move on to the next. Never did find the "problem."

He pulled long shifts. 14s-16s because of the "downtime." His wife was constantly opening, and then maxing out credit cards which he was trying to pay off.

Miraculously, when work shit canned him all the downtime in that area went away. Imagine that. He eventually got a divorce, and filed chapter 13.

Very, very intelligent man, but wife was trying to fill the void she'd created. He was at work to pay her expenses, and she was depressed because he was at work all the time. Vicious cycle

No offense to @bmf4069 but sparkies are a rare breed, this guy is no exception. This guy constantly thinks we’re “looking for his nap spots” “I can hear you guys down there” which is a dead giveaway to where he’s at(top floor of this building with a chase from the basement)
Move out; the two sparkies go nuts!!!! It’s a FREE for all! Lots of “good stuff” gets left behind or thrown in big dumpsters- guess where they are practicing their swan dive into?
He walked in two weeks ago with this ridiculous smirk on his face and a new gaming chair; “I’ve been waiting 4 years for a good chair, this ones got an ottoman and everything!”
