    Twenty-Sixth Mod - Love a Nice Rack

The path towards this rack was a great one. I searched through this site and did some basic Google searching for racks that were suited for the Tundra and when I came across BAMFs, I pretty instantly fell in love with what I saw. On their site as well he had photos of it setup with the RTT I had planned on getting, so I was able to see both the rack AND my tent setup. My full experience with BAMF and @jlee can be found HERE and the photos of it and it's build quality can be seen down below. The pictures honestly don't do it full justice. If there is something you want a better photo of let me know!

Even the quality of how it shipped was top notch! Bubble wrap the kids got to play with for hours.

That BAMF rack is so, so, so awesome! Very much want. I need to figure out a way to make a some kind of tonneau cover work with it...

    Nice truck Krezz!

Twenty-Seventh Mod - The Better to See You My Dear...

Go big or go home I guess. I don't currently tow anything so no posing here, but I like the larger look of the mirrors AND I love lights, so gaining turn signals and running lights was a plus for me. I got them for free-ninty-nine, courtesy a friend through work. So there was also that factor!

I'll use these three pictures to show OEM mirror vs Tow mirror since I had them available on my desk top.

    No More Mods - Mod...

Don't worry it's not all doom and gloom!

While we were waiting on my wife's 4Runner to arrive, she was secretly working with my manager to secure a TRD Pro Tundra for me. She thought I was jelly that she was getting a real pro, and I was not. At first it apparently looked pretty bleak but this morning a dealer from Nova Scotia called needing something we had in a Tacoma, and my manager jumped on the chance to get their cement pro allocation.

So it is to be built in about 2-3 weeks and then shipped up to here. Needless to say, I will be putting the brakes on this one until the new one arrives.
It is to be my birthday gift, although it may be a few weeks before my birthday, which I am ok with.

    :woot:

Truck is coming along great @Krezz
Is that bed rack standard height that BAMF makes?

Yeah I believe it is their only height they offer at the moment.
A slightly taller version I would be able to roll my bike straight under it, but it may be the height it is to allow the third brake light to remain visible.

@jlee can probably better answer however.

I got 2 more compliments today on the workmanship of it.

The Extang 2.0 has been my cover of choice.

Nice! I was looking at the OEM one and it kinda looks like the extang i've even talked to a toyota parts rep in my town and they said they basically buy and rebrand their stuff... so still debating on what cover i want to go with...

I also work for Toyota and at least the one Toyota uses in Canada, there are some key differences.

The OEM sits more low profile and has some water channels/tubes
The Extang removes and installs much quicker. 5-10minutes vs on average I've heard 15-20mins.

Ya I can't imagine it would be any different in Canada vs here in the states as far as the cover goes... I could be wrong tho... Just debating because I technically don't have my truck yet so I have time to decide... One of the big factors is if i go with OEM I can put it on with the financing vs straight out of pocket... bleh decisions decisions!

    Truth.
The dealership may be able to order aftermarket and just reduce your discount equal to the cost. It's how we do it at my dealership.

Negative, the blue will be traded in towards it. She and my manager were working numbers in the background without my knowledge to make sure that upon revealing the news I wouldn't be out of pocket.

The Tundra is to be built in May and probably arrive by June. My Bday is June 19th - Gemini! =)
My wife is a Mothers Day baby and I a Fathers Day baby, we share weird things like that lol.

The initial will probably be a 3 step Nfab bar to make getting to the zipper on the RTT a bit easier.
Also BFG KO2s will be moved over from the current Tundra.

Current RetroFit Headlights, Spyder Tail lights and my BAMF rack will also go over.
