So I’m looking to upgrade my system in my 2021 tundra and saw this JL Audio box that would fit behind my rear seats. It comes with 2 JL 10 inch subwoofers 10TW3-D8. Wanted to know has anyone upgraded with this ? How does it sound? What amp? Or any suggestions .

    Alot of them
You will need to replace the head unit too if you want a killer system. The OEM head unit has low power, no adjustments, and poor volume control.

it poounds! i ran it with the jd1000/1 class d subwoofer amp. just installed front and rear doors with focal mids and tweets. not getting much sound out of those for now,, the front dash been working good for me in the mean time. later upgrade will be a dsp amp for the door speakers. then my system should be done.. then i will sell my truck to get the new tundra 2022.. maybe..

It sounds great. Kept my OEM JBL fed into a DSR, deleted the center and running everything off of a JL HD900/5 (upgraded 3 ways up front and 2 ways in the back)

I had the JL stealth box. Sounded good, tight bass, but wanted more. I was running it off a single hd900/5.
I ended up selling the stealth box and got the same subs but in a ported box from tech12volt. It really will thump. Now I'm running two hd900/5, a helix dsp, 3 way active up front and passive in the rear.

I have the JL Stealthbox and am more than happy with it. it is tied to a JL XD600/1 and has the chest pounding bass I wanted.
The head unit was upgraded to a Kenwood DMX957XR, and the speakers to JL C5/C3 tied to JL XD400/4
There was a month+ lead time to get the box, as they are apparently built to order.

Thanks all for the info it really helps. So the guy who is looking to install it for me wanted to push the subwoofers with a hertz 5 channel amp and to use the same amp to push the stock door speakers. Not sure if it’s going to make a difference in the stock speakers but I’m willing to try anything to increase the volume. The box with amp and install is running around $2400 which isn’t so bad to start
