Dead stock with oem 16" starfish wheels. We'll see how long that lasts. :) Topper of unknown origin.
Good luck! Check the tire pressures, engine oil and coolant once or twice. Download some podcasts and music. Hydrate. There's beautiful country on the route, consider getting off the interstate and onto curvy, hilly two lane roads if you have time. Enjoy.

    FWIW, YMMV.

Best of luck to you and have a great time! If you run into a talking scarecrow and tinman that's when you know you're no longer in Kansas.

East CO and West KS are the worst. Get some podcasts ready. At least your going downhill with the wind.

Godspeed and good luck! I'm over 350K and recently did a long trip (about 1600 miles I think?) with zero problems. I'll be taking it from CO to the U.P. of MI round trip in August and not worried bit. Great truck for long trips IMHO. My basic advice: Check your fluids along the way, keep an eye on the gauges, carry a scan tool, and make sure the spare has air.
Doesn't hurt to have a Triple A card as well. Dew it!

There are some rolling hills but yeah, it is definitely big sky country. It is almost always dead and dry. The wind can be really terrible. Don't follow any semis that have animals.
There are a lot of cafos out there and wind farms.

Also... don't forget your wallet. Cruise set at 83 on I-80 will guzzle gas, but worth it.

Every time I have passed through there it was really windy and really dry. I am sure there are nice areas with trees but I did not see them.
