After some searching I couldn’t find anyone asking this specific question -

What risks would I be running into off-roading with 295/70r18 falken wildpeaks on a leveled tundra with OEM wheels?

I’ve got an Eibach stage 1 pro system in the mail on its way, planning on raising my front by 2”.

I really like the stock wheels on my tundra and I’d like to avoid spacers if I can. So if the tire is close to the UCA is that really an issue, seeing as the UCA articulates with the suspension? I don’t off-road hard enough to air down my tires or anything like that.

If I do need spacers, doesn’t Bora make a 1” version that works with 2018 TRD OR wheels? I’d like to keep the offset close to +35 if I can because it seems that is the sweet spot.

There's nothing wrong with it. If the tire isn't hitting the UCA it's very unlikely that it will while off roading IMO. I ran that setup for a long time but I did have 1.25" Spidertrax spacers, 2" lift in front and various UCAs. I pretty much destroyed the wheels with rock rash and it is possible to max out the balljoint on the stock UCAs but you said you're not going hard core so you'll be fine IMO. Besides, what you suggest is a good way to play around and actually determine for yourself what mods you may or may not want.

The 3rd Gen rocks the OEM TRD 18” wheels and stock Michelins. The 1st gen has SCS 16” wheels and 33” STT Pros (285’s).

    They’re both big. :muscleflexing:

Ahh, I thought maybe you'd put bigger tires on the inferno

The 1” Boras work great on the Off Road wheels. I used them for a while before switching to wheels with a different offset.

As for airing down, you don’t have to go hard to get benefits from doing it. I run my Wildpeaks around 40 psi on road, so that makes for a pretty still ride off road. But I don’t think that should really affect your UCA clearance anyway.

Nope. Not saying ‘never’ but still got some life in the originals, so no replacement ‘til they wear out.

(instead, I just bought another truck. Oh, wait.)

Sorry, OP. Keep us posted (with pics!) when you get your 295’s mounted.

I’ve got same kit sitting in my garage about to get installed on 2021 with 295 70 18 wildpeaks. Where are you seeing the 2” lift measurement? I’m banking on 2.5” lift, but I’ve got some toytec 0.5” shims just in case.

It might be 2.5” I don’t know. Anywhere around there I’m happy with. Just don’t want/need 3 inches.

when you get it all on let me know! I’d love to hear how it goes.

Just run a 275/70/18 Wildpeak you are not going to out wheel that tire with a 2” lift.

Save your self money and weight.

This picture is from the install “instructions” for the shock/Eibach spring combo. Your options are 2” or 3”
