I decided to lift and stiffen my 2019 Tundra TRD Off Road because I found the front end too soft especially when pulling a heavy load. I found the front end nose diving when braking with 6000 lbs in the trailer. I decided to replace the stock Bilstein 4600 with new 6112 coil overs set at 2" lift to level and keeping the rear stock. Truck drove so much better with tighter front end with less body roll and no more nose diving. Now I installed Bilstein 5100 with a 1" lift block kit to get proper rake. After doing the rear I am hearing a thumping sound from the rear. It happens at very low speed over small bumps and when the body rolls. Now after about 1000k, I re torqued all bolts and the noise is still there. I am reading that a loose shock would make this noise. Maybe I need to torque the bottom shock bolts higher than spec? Any input would be great! This noise is driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

I have the same rear set up with no noise.

is the pin on the rear block properly seated?

did you tighten the U bolts evenly?

did you remove the spare for extra working room?

I would also suggest checking the spare. I’ve had weird thumps and creaks if it wasn’t pulled up tight enough.

I carefully and evenly tightened the Ubolts. I initially had the truck on jack stands and had the floor trolley jack under the diff. I did one side at a time while lowering and lifting the diff allowing just enough space to slide the block in. I never removed the spare which is nice and tight. The thump sound sure is like a loose spare under the truck. I do notice that some of the leafs on the drivers side are not evenly stacked under one another as if they slightly rotated out of position. Maybe that's the issue?

When you did the blocks did you do one side at a time? I’ve never installed them, but I read another thread where the OP undid both sides at once and the axle rotated slightly. Sounds like you might be in the right direction with the leafs.
