Catalytic Converter Anti-Theft Cover

A pleasant day to all.

I just would like to kindly ask if you happen to have purchased a deterrent cover/brace/etc recently for the CaT. I just had a convo yesterday with my wife's coworker and her 2020 Tundra got jacked at the parking lot. She said the cost was like $7200 but she only paid for the deductible ($500) and then she said she purchased a "cover" for like $600.

I was wondering if you can recommend and also send a link of the item your will buy or have recently purchased.

Does our truck require them to run correctly? I think if mine gets taken I would just take it a shop and have a straight pipe welded in.

Yes. Some areas are hit harder than others but it is widespread, even over in Europe.

 

No emissions checks in my state thankfully. The CEL would be annoying.
