2 years ago we had a following that was amazing. More content than a dollar could make. Now I find myself posting something about a leaf-spring delete or tow mirrors and I get 2 responses in 8 months.

Why do ask... why aren't we seeing a flood of people and owners here... CONTENT!

I'm not sure who runs this site but 4 years ago this was a solid place next to the TACO website. Where did we go wrong. Let's give this site a face-lift.

Dunno… seems to me most of the time I ask a question I get plenty of response. There’s certainly certain threads that get lots of traction, but I’ve found this place to be head and shoulders above most the forums I frequented between ‘09 and ‘15 or so…

Over the years, the already discussed topics has grown exponentially. So now, you only have to search the catalogue of content to get your answer or read through previous threads.

I try to respond to anything I can help with. And I posted I was in need of help and that same day got someone in my town to agree to help fabricate some brackets for my side steps. I'd say that's as good as it gets.

I think its FB groups may be sucking some people out of the scenes. People move on, and economics... I've been part of a few forums including other Tundra sites that have withered over time, they're still there up and running, but how long will it be before they're gone. The Celica Forum I still visit, is pretty much dead as well taken over by a FB group as well, with the eventual noob that strolls through and asks the random questions...

This forum has honestly been a lot more active than I anticipated. I’ve been on several car forums myself and this ons is def up there, considering everyone nowadays would rather join a fb and not have to wait 50 post til they can create a for sale ad

I was just noticing the opposite. Seems like we have tons of new members, especially considering how hard it is to buy a Tundra these days. I also find a new thread or two worth following just about every day. There’s a ton of info on here...lots of DIY write ups, trip reports, etc. It’s much less doom and gloom than any domestic truck forum, and it’s a more mature crowd than Tacoma World (ok, barely).

Plus I don’t have FB recording and data-mining my every move. I’ve been invited a few times to join a TN Tundras FB group, but I am in no way interested in spending time on FB.

Is a guy who's posted here a total of 5 times this year even allowed to say the forum is dead? Put a little effort in.

If the title only states any of the following, I try my hardest not to reply. Sometimes I can't resist.

    - Truck
    - Tires
    - Wheels
    - Help
    - 2021 Tundra

Also, if they OP is too lazy to link in pics of all the wheel choices they want us to discuss, I won't reply.

This is the most helpful and cordial forum I’ve ever seen on the internet. I friggin love this place.

I think the volume is fine, and I actually worry that more volume might turn it into something we don’t want!

The LAST thing we need is any part of this site turning into General Discussion on ar15.com...

NO freaking kidding. I signed up there a few years back....and stayed for a day or so. It's like the firearms version of StackOverflow, where any question quickly devolves into ad infinitum arguments and "OMG did you not even SEARCH?" and the like.

Great forum… my questions always get answered. But I’d bet that since the platform of out trucks have remained basically the same for many years that most of the topics are already covered…

You’d think that’s the case, but discussing what size tire will fit and who had to trim what never seems to get old.

I go in waves where I'm on here all the time, then it slowed down when I had my truck set up the way I wanted. Would pop in here and there but stayed off so someone wouldn't rope me into wanting to spend more money doing something else, haha. But now that I have a brand new '21, I'm on here every day. Have had a few "need help" issues and got the help pretty quick.

This^^^ I am amazed at the breadth of topics - including non-Tundra related topics - that are not just mentioned, but ACTIVE on this forum. I have no idea where the OP came up with the idea that this is a dead or dying forum!

This has a lot to do with it. I was relatively late to the Tundras.com party, though not as late as some. Probably 75% of my questions are answered by searching and perusing established threads, even if they are a few years old. Had I joined in 2014 or so, I'm sure I would have started a lot more threads of my own, asking questions about various things.
