Hey guys. I have a 2020 CM SR5 TRD Offroad and after hours of research I think I finally found the right combo. I plan to run Bilstein 5100’s on the middle setting (front only) with 285/70r18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on the stock +60 TRD Offroad wheels.

Do you guys see any potential issues with this setup? I’m assuming minor trimming may be required but nothing major. I’m hoping I can get by without spacers. And I didn’t want to go with 275/70 because I think they may look to skinny. Any pics with this set up would be great. Thanks!

Hey Greg. Did you ever end up completing this setup?? Would love to see it and hear how it went!

Unfortunately I did not. Still sitting stock (for now). Waiting for the 5100's to come back in stock and while I love the 285/70r18 size on these trucked with a level I decided against the Ridge Graps due to winter performance. I will most likely go with a 3PMSF in either a 285/75 or 295/70.

Is winter performance on the ridge grapplers really that bad?

I researched their winter performance pretty heavily and pretty much came to the conclusion that you can definitely get by with them in occasional winter weather. However, in my area (Western NY) we get 100+ inches of snow and winter lasts about 5 months and would be much better suited to run a 3PMSF A/T tire.

Research the Falken Wildpeak At3w. They're an awesome tire!

They are on my short list. Just wish they weren't as heavy. Seems like a great tire though.

Ahh that makes sense. We get a lot of sunshine where I’m at here in Colorado and we probably get about 50 inches of snow, but it never really lingers. It’ll snow 6 inches and be gone in a couple days.
