Has anyone bought this from sparks and had it color mated? Wondering what the price would be.

On spark parts it says the hood scoop doesn't come painted/color matched. I was wondering if someone has bought this and took it to there local shop to get painted. How much would something like this cost to paint.

Sounds like something you need to ask your local paint shop. I suspect prices can vary wildly depending on where you are.

You can paint it yourself. An aerosol can of color matched paint will run you 25-30 and then you need some automotive clear which runs 15-25 depending what you get. The scoop is a pretty simple color so you should be able to do it yourself.

Hood scoop p/n 7618134900 - $394.77 (the one I looked at says "Hood L Color" so I assume it IS painted.

A few other pieces are required as well.

P.S. I've found them to be cheaper (only if I pick up locally.....check your dealer too. Order online with "pick up" instead of shipping, you'll most likely find it cheaper than the one you mentioned after you include their shipping price)

Was just hoping I would get some numbers from others that have done this before I order.

Figure out the cost of the scoop, shipped to your door, by the vendor of your choice.

Then call a couple local shops and ask how much to paint.

So the plastic scoop without the parts included is cheaper than the entire metal hood? Holy crap!!!!!!
