Remove panel behind rear seats in DC

Hello Tundrites. I promise I tried searching for it first...

Wanted to remove the panel behind the back seats. Those knobs won’t Budge and I don’t want to break anything. Is there a secret? I see the bolt in the lower center bottom. But I’m sure those knobs at the top are also fasteners.

 

You pull on the outer edge of the knob and then it will pop out, no twisting needed

Don’t put your nails/fingers behind the knob, literally only pull out on the face of the knob

This thing by has a gazillion clips! Wow. I’m sure I only broke like a dozen...

 

Holy crap. On my 2008 it was just a flappy rubber/vinyl curtain hanging back there.

 

Does anyone know what these pins are called? Or the part number?

 

Which ones? There are two, the yellow ones and the white round ones.

The white ones can be bought in any bulk fasteners kit sold on scAmazon. I have a couple of clear tackle boxes full of 'em. I can run down the exact p/n if you really need it.

Also FYI, it looks like you may have the DC. It looks like you have Kilmat there. Logic tells me you're sound deadening. Note that black panel that already has some deadener on it is, I believe, just a cover for the vertical rear sliding window. You'll definitely want to pop off the black cover with the window up, and hit the back wall with about 3, maybe 4 pieces of the size seen in your photo. Then I'd probably break two more squares in half and do the back side of the black panel. Just my 2¢.

 

As mentioned, the white ones can be bought other than dealer....AutoZone, Advance Auto etc
As for the dealer part numbers, the white ones are now 6771-06030(gray), which replaced 67771-03050, 67771-06070, 67771-30070. That clip can also be used on other trim locations, in particular door cards.
Bought a dozen from McGeorge last year for just that use.

 

I was going to say to shop for clips with removing the back piece. I also snapped a few when I was connecting a harness to the factory amp. And I was being careful..
