Hmmm, maybe it's an option now. I haven't paid attention to that kind of stuff since I left the car biz in 2006.

I was shocked. She cut a tire and I went to change it, thinking it would be a donut.

I'm not understanding why you would be mad at Toyota for something that every manufacturer across the board has been doing since the 70's? If it was that much of a concern to you then why didn't you check it before you bought it and maybe you could negotiated it into your deal.

Also why does it matter anyways? You don't see it and it's there in case of an emergency and if you rotate in with the rest then it just costs more money when you buy tires.

Sorry maybe it's just me but I don't get what the big deal is. I've had a lot of cars over the years and I think the only one that had a matching spare was my FJ.

    Hello everybody :)

Thanks, been over on the Tundratalk for a bit and decided to join for a bit of a change in scenery.

My 85 Toyota pick up had a full size (same type) spare, and my 07 4Runner has the same spare. I was also surprised that my 2017 Turd had a steel wheel spare, but I'm not losing sleep over it....
