Where is that thread of things that make you mad? People who park at the pump but have no intention of getting gas. Especially when the station is busy and they don’t care that they are blocking a pump.

Guilty. . .sorry. . Lol. . .I'd rather be an ass and take up a pump than have these douchebags around here beat the side of my truck in with their doors.

I saw a lady get mad for having to wait for a pump the other day because she pulled up behind a guy who was just starting to fill his car instead of driving around to one of the available pumps.

Currently a Tacoma owner. In the next three years my son will probably get my truck. Hopefully I’ll be looking into new tundra.

I would buy the new Tundra 2022 six cylinder with dual turbos and 30 MPG, and have total confidence on Toyota Quality and Engineering that it would be a great truck and engine that will blow away all other truck manufacturers, and just bought in March a 2021 Tundra loaded and would trade it in a millisecond for the new 2022 Tundra, that looks like will be the best pickup on the market .

I like the on board scale and smart hitch. They could be very handy technology. The programmable adaptive suspension not so much. It's a great idea but when you add technology to wear item parts it can become very expensive to repair.

My right RCI slider got scraped pretty good by someone's white door. There was a decent amount of paint transfer and it was deep enough that it developed surface rust this winter when I ignored it.

Rather a little rattle can on the slider than a big ass door ding.

Totally hear what you are saying, but high performance is never cheap to repair anyhow.

Cheap / reliable / high performance, pick 2. Always been that way, always will be.

The on board scale and hitch weight are non moving parts. The shocks are going to have to be replaced and some point, I wouldn't want to be on the recieving end of that. I used to have a Mazda that had electric ride control. It used actuators on each strut that adjusted the valving internally. When the struts started to leak and I had to replace them it was cheaper just to dump the car.

And my experience with Ford electronics means at some point it'll start doing it's own things and it will take trucks twerking to a whole new level.

I wouldn't trust Ford either for getting it right but if Toyota did something like this on the new truck I'd be happy.

If half the glamor truck adds are on the 2022 we'll be seeing "Why are 2022 Tudra prices so outrageous?" threads.

Maybe Toyota is going to increase the 5% marketshare with the Ford Raptor converts. That would be a bean-counter calculation.

Me either but its out there that 30 MPG on a new Tundra, if it happens probably would have to be a Hybrid, and don't think that will happen with Toyota as they are smart and conservitive introducing new models, and the engine is coming from one of the existing Lexus models for the new twin V-6 Turbo for the Tundra.

Anyway should be interesting for sure on a new Tundra in 2022!!!

Hopefully they still have some of the lower trims to keep the prices down, use the Platinum and new higher trim to be the money makers - I'm expecting the Platinum to get a $5k CAD bump in price and if there is indeed a trim above that it'll be $10-15k over current Platinum prices.

I did not read all these posts, but today while golfing I invited the single behind us to join our twosome. He did. Come to find out he was in town on an extended business trip. He is a production engineer working in in the Tundra plant. We had some pretty good discussion. I did not ask him a lot of details but he did confirm the V8 is no more in 2022. The stock engine will be the TTV6 and there will be a hybrid option. So only two choices. He did say he did not understand all the love for the Lunar Rock color as it is about the same color of the truck after "ED" and before it is dipped in primer. He did say he works the paint side, so he did tell me that the TRD Pro exclusive color for 2022 will be a gold flake. I don't think that is the official name of the color.
