Ok, guys I'm looking at a new tundra a 2021 DB SR5 4x4 and comes to the price of 41500 for the SR5 and 51000 for the SR5/TSS so my question is it worth the extra money to get the TSS It is about 5000 extra all I want is the truck is leveled if I get the TSS. The SR5 I will add my own version of TSS with after market parts to look like a leveled TSS. I'm kinda torn between the TSS and the SR5 I will do mild off road a little truck camping and tow a bassboat which is about 5000lbs Sorry this is my first Tundra and trying to make the right choice Any tips guys would help a lot thanks

No way is TSS worth $5K, it mostly an appearance package.

Welcome! It all depends on you. If you buy the cheaper truck, you can probably end up with a nicer truck than the TSS for a cheaper price. If you don’t want to have to do any work on the truck, spend the money and get the TSS.

Probably not worth that much. TSS = Wheel / tire and running boards.

    Welcome from Texas!

I have a 2017 SR5 with the TSS Off-road package that I bought certified used in 2020. TSS only added:
    • 20" Tire and black alloy wheels - most on this forum would recommend 18" for both on-road and off-road ride quality
    • 5" black tube steps - if you are going to off road, you are better off with sliders
    • Black Exhaust tip
    • Floor mats - Tuffy mats are better
    • TSS Off-road bed decal
Definitely not worth an extra $5K. Like others, I would recommend the SR5 without the TSS and modify it to make it your own

Geez I know there’s a shortage and all but $51k for the TSS package? I bought my 2020 TSS at the end of 2019 for 38,600 before TTL....

As someone who purchased with TSS I'd say it's not worth it. You get the TSS rims and steps - that's it. Aftermarket options look better and are far less costly.

The TSS package looks good, but I would use the additional money for other upgrades.

You can find running boards (new take off's all day long for $300). If you like the black out look get the nightshade edition. It only $1K option, wheels, tinted headlights, black emblems. Kinda a rip off also I guess. Reason I ended up with nightshade is I drove a TSS and loathed the ride, went with limited it was 100% better, amazing the difference a tire can make. I think I was quoted $41800 before TTL brand new TSS (2020) model year last October
