I have had to wait sitting in my truck for someone to buy a boat motor, waiting for someone at the dr office, waiting down the road at a restaurant. I park my truck and remove the key and set it on the counsel and 25 to 60 minutes later I put the key in and turn it and the battery is dead.
this has happened 4 times now just yesterday was the forth time.
Any answers as to what is going on, if I drive it park it remove key and let it set there for 5 days it will start right up

when was the last time the battery was replaced? They generally last 3 or 4 years.

Also check and make sure all battery and ground connections are solid with no corrosion.

I suspect you've suffered an internal short in one or more cells resulting in higher than usual self-discharge. Grid corrosion on the positive plate is a prime internal short vector.

I recommend replacing the battery with a fresh unit.

    Thanks for the comments,

I replaced the battery in 11/2019 it still had the original battery in it. The battery only is a problem if I park , remove the key then sit there waiting for 25 + minutes , I waited out side of a dr office where my wife had an appointment, when the called me on the phone to pull around and pick her up, the truck would not start , I had to a wrecker to get a jump. If I go to home depot, park turn off key go into store come out 30 minutes later the truck starts right up, this only happens when I am sitting in the truck waiting for 25+ minutes after shutting off the truck and removing the key

Still seems like a bad cell or something in the battery. I would have the battery tested, or just replace it since batteries are pretty cheap.

why would it not go dead just sitting in the driveway for 5 days, I have another truck I use to not put lots of miles on the toyota, when I use it , it starts right up.
It only goes dead if I am sitting in the seat for 20 + minutes, my wife and I went up the road to local restaurant while our house was being showed, we drove around a bit then went to the restaurant stopped at the window got coffee parked and sat there till realtor said they were leaving I put the key in and the battery was dead, it only happens when I or both my wife sit there waiting

I have noticed that a blinking red truck light next to where the clock buttons are it blinks when we are setting there it does not blink if I turn the truck off get , then I go into the house, next day truck starts right up

What position is the headlight switch in during all of this? The auto, or auto-off headlights need to see the drivers door open before they shut off, which could be a timed shut-off depending on settings.
