    can u adjust the height with out pulling the strut and shock back out ect?

    Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, HD RAS, 285/75-18 Nokian Outpost AT, LoPro bed cover, TRD rear sway bar, DD 10 inch exhaust, and various other goodies
    depends on the lifted coil over. Some require removal to adjust the clip height, other can be adjusted on the truck.

    Which coil over are you talking about?

    The ones that have threads and collars that adjust the height. Toytec boss system is a good example of that type.

    Coilovers like 5100s or 6112s use seat clips that have 3 different height adjustments, need to remove them to adjust the clips.

    is there much difference in ride quality on road vs the bilstein 6112 and others

    I suggest you look over the suspension forum here, there is a ton of good info and reviews on the different coilovers. What you seek has been discussed and posted often.

    Anything with a c-clamp style ring, with the hex screw in it should be compressed before adjusting.

    Toytecs, Fox are this style.

    You don’t have to do it, but the concern is it will skip a thread while under tension as the ring is not full captive on the body threads.

    Solid rings like Ironman and Eibach are fine to adjust without compressing the spring.

    Of course you can still adjust them even if they have a set screw, but there’s a small risk and since Fox warns against this it’s unlikely they will warranty any damage as a result.
