Honestly couldn’t tell ya as I lived where it’s -20F in the winter and it definitely couldn’t keep up in that. It lived in my heated garage all last winter and it was awesome! I feel like if you keep it 102-104F and it’s going to dip just a bit, it should be able to keep up and not have too big a problem but I would avoid if possible long term.

We live out on the outskirts. Originally we had two, cut the first down couple years ago. Left one up bc I liked it but my wife didn't. This year though half of it had died , and it was too close to my water main to the house , I was afraid the root system would cause very expensive damage later on if it got bigger.

Coleman Saluspa, I think. A year or so ago they were $300. Now they're $645. Not cheap, but still a hell of a lot cheaper than a normal hot tub.

Ok yeah, I was thinking there was a caveat to that. LOL The only place we'd be able to put that would be our basement; as we don't have a heated garage.

Ahem, not to intrude but I believe the answer to where to put your hot tub may be sitting out in your driveway...

Coleman Saluspa, this one is the “Tahiti” but they’re all the same. Made by a company called Bestway

I'll get us back on track.... lol. 20210419_110123.jpg

Pulled this bastard out with the tundra. Took a few shots but finally got it. I'd say this eventually was definitely going to screw up my water line. It was only 2 ft from it.

Decided to spend my 401k and buy some lumber . Damn sticks are so expensive but the ghetto-ness of the little shed and “lean-to” was getting to me. Replaced them both with a little wider and longer lean-to. Still have a lot to do but it’s getting there. Tacked the doors on just to keep them in place. I am usually a perfectionist and follow things to a T but I starting building this thing on a whim and winging it as I go. I’m sure there is stuff done wrong so please don’t point out too much to me lol. Off to work tomorrow so it will have to wait a few days.

Took a week off from work. I have been working every weekend since Oct 2020 . Decided to paint and put a new LVP floor down. I think it turned out pretty good, but my back and knees paid a price. The flooring is the same I put down in my computer room, Smart Core from Lowe's. Great product and easy installation  Some before and after pics

Our big orange tree didn't make it through Snovid-21 so I'm going to replace it with a Okame Cherry Tree. I cut it down today and started working on getting the trunk out. Stupid thing had freaking inch long thorns and the wood was hard as hell. There was a root that was nearly the size of the trunk. After hours of cutting, digging, and hacking, I called it a day. Hope to get at it again tomorrow. I'm too old for this shit but too cheap to hire somebody... :(

You've got a nice pit, cut it a little lower, grab a couple bags of charcoal, and have a fire.

Check the build link in my signature.
Put a metal 5 gallon bucket with the bottom cut out over it before you start, you’ll have that thing smoldering down into the ground for weeks

There's some electrical wiring that may be under there somewhere so I've got to be careful. Previous owners ran power over there from the shed and I'm not 100% on if it's in conduit or how deep. I was planting over by the main house and found some wiring that wasn't in a conduit. Not sure if it was old or what. Just was glad I didn't cut it. Oh, I found a red rubber ducky while I was digging. Treasure!!!!

I have to get two stumps out soon. Last year i removed 3 by hiring a stump grinder. The two i have left are smaller ones so shouldnt be too bad.

you can always rent the stump grinder yourself...usually A LOT cheaper and that's what I've done with the past 3 stumps. Now have 1 more thanks to a recent wind storm.

I forgot that I bought a 5lb mattock a few years back. My plan for today is to cut the stump lower and whack at the top with the mattock. Rental fees go into my “cheapness” column. ;) But, I have to say, tree stumps suck.

I lost a lot of trees to the deep freeze in Texas... I think all my fruit trees and all my live oaks are dead...

Congrats on the new house build. With the prices on lumber so high, what materials are you using? Then again, some people do not care about cost and just get the damn home built...LOL!

    Looks like a nice location.
