What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

How did you establish dominance? I would have marked my territory by pissing on his tool box.

 

Hahahaha. Nah Im just saying that the kid looked like he couldn't wait for his break to hit the pipe and he required a firm posture, mild knife hand, and solid voice inflection. I realize people have bad days and never ending workloads and some do financially better here being unemployed vs employed but... I expected the shop employees to behave in a professional manner - that was the issue- that and Im not taking any shit.

lol! Women.. my wife was the same way when she drives my Tundra. No BSM, no Parking assist, no auto fold mirrors. haha.

 

Yeah I was so worried about the straps when I ordered also. Then it came with no instructions so had to call them. Their tech department has always answered the phone and it turns out I was worried for no reason and it was a super easy install.

I had the straps and plate installed in about 30 minutes. Mainly because I took my time and rust proofed a few spots, anti seized the bolts, etc,...otherwise it would have been less. So the straps are the factory Toyota straps that come with the factory skid plate like the TRD offroad/PRO models.

Literally the hardest part was driving around so much to get the fuel tank well below a quarter tank. A fuller tank bulges too much and makes the install difficult unless it's below a quarter tank. Replaced one strap at a time and again it was extremely easy.

 

I don't think there is anything wrong with expecting it to be right when you give clear expectations. It's difficult to instill ownership in someone who is just gonna do whatever the F he wants. Gets under my skin too.

 

Everytime I call (3 times now) I hit the tech extension and my call has been answered each time. It's too bad you have a bad taste in your mouth (unstandably so however) about it now cuz it is a quality product.

Removed the ugly chrome side steps and removed the “Tundra” emblems from the sides.

 

Two projects completed today. Installed the CupHolderHero liner kit and wrestled the Coverking ballistic nylon back seat cover into place to give the leather some protection from the future Tundra drivers.

 

Added another 20 horses. No more chrome caps and raised tailgate letters

 

Started painting the Valhalla Shields -
Knock the loose stuff off with a pearl disc, two coats of self-etching primer, two coats of underbody coating.

 

Removed my drop in liner so to get ready to put a spray in liner. Then my children decided it was there new fort. Also installed Total Chaos Bed Stiffeners I got for $71.

 

Installed the Winjet Tundra DRL LED Tail Lights - Smoke

 

Those things make a great sled in the winter too.

 

That is about all it's good for.

 

Installed a PRO grille logo today. Technically I don’t have a TRD Pro, but since I installed all the Pro stuff on my 1794, I thought maybe I could advertise just a little:

 

Interested in your rear sunshades for your future tundra drivers. Can you please share what you’re using? I have three little ones back there and am looking for something temporary to keep it cool in the hot Texas summers.

 

Damn, I’d take that in a heart beat for a future project.

 

If my kids were a little bigger I’d pull them around this winter in it.

 

I bought the Weathertech sunshades full vehicle kit that included the side and rear windows. I park outside so I use them all during the warm days.

 

Front brakes. Last time I posted I was eager to get after it, but life happened. Got it done today.

Also installed my 1.5” spacers on the front. They made it 3 miles and I removed them. Recently put a 3.5” lift on my truck and 275/65r20 ridge grapplers. I have no rubbing on stock TSS wheels. Added spacers and got some rubbing at full lock in reverse so I took them off. When I get to 50 posts I’m going to list them for sale.

 

Where did you get the front bumper caps? and did they come painted? Thanks

 

Last pieces to my color matching puzzle! Found someone local selling their super white rear bumper, so I had to snatch it quick! Officially no more chrome bumpers!

 

No more chrome decorations for me either. I went with a true bumper.
